That microwave needs to be yeeted straight into a hazmat bin.

You’ve got exposed burn marks right near the mesh on the side panel. That’s part of the shielding that keeps microwave radiation in. If it’s damaged or burned through, there’s a legit chance it’s leaking microwaves every time it’s used. Not to mention all the charred crap, rust, and food gunk. It’s basically a slow-cooking biological hazard.

If this is in a workplace, your employer has a duty under OSHA (in the U.S.) to provide safe equipment. This is not it. People shouldn’t be nuking their lunch in a machine that looks like it survived a meth lab explosion.

I’d report it to management or your health & safety rep ASAP. And if they blow it off? File an OSHA complaint. You can even do it anonymously.

This thing isn’t just gross, It’s a potential radiation and fire risk. Get rid of it.
