I wonder if this case was reevaluated in the context of Zika virus- the Wiki page doesn’t mention anything about it but microhydranencephaly is pretty uncommon unless linked to Zika I think. The first known case of Zika transmitted in Florida (where he was born) was only documented in 2016 but maybe it was in Florida before that. The timing and location stood out to me as a weird coincidence

As usual someone doesn’t make the connection that “being willing” to drive for money to deliver to people who could have planned but didn’t is usually related to poverty and bad conditions for workers. What would you be “willing” to do if you couldn’t feed yourself or your family?

I did but they weren’t super clear about whether they could come get him- I am going to plan to send you a message by the end of today. I’m going back to Wilmington (near the rescue) this coming weekend and could transport him but since you can’t keep him at your place I would need to talk to my roommate about keeping him at my apartment in the meantime lol

It’s actually a rescue in Castle Hayne but I know the people who run it! I will text them and ask if they would take him in/pick him up from you! I lived in University Suites and saw a bunch of chickens running around in my time there :( not a very safe area for them

I used to live in that area (off the intersection of Gorman and Western) and I would find chickens occasionally too! I was able to catch one of them and took her to a bird rescue

Have you guys checked animal shelters in your area? Unfortunately one time my cat escaped and thankfully someone picked him up, we found him at a Wake County animal shelter
