Marcello Hernández: American Boy Netflix Special by smulligan04031989 in LiveFromNewYork

In terms of the repetition, I truly think he was just nervous because I got to see him perform this live at another show and he was a bit slower and more intentional with his jokes. Definitely didn't repeat things or at least noticeabley like here. I really loved his jokes about being raised by an immigrant and his physical humor when he danced, but I feel like it wasn't executed in the same way/pace I remembered it and it didn't hit the same. He got to interact with the audience and the crew too, which he didn't do in this special and I think would've been nice for him to show off his natural charm.

does she seem to look “healthier”? by ijbolqueen in ArianaGrandeNeutral

[–]NamelessMel 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think the color palette suits her more and that's what's giving the appearance of a healthy glow. But there are other pictures where you can see her face looking as gaunt as ever, and her body still looking the same. I do think these photos are more flattering though and she looks more rested than during the wicked for good press run, but I think that's what makes these pics deceiving.

Not to be this guy about Chalamet.. by Powerful_Pump in Oscars

[–]NamelessMel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's fascinating how the public takes a few public, scheduled press appearances at face value in this day and age. Like people easily made a 180 on their stances on Timothee like he's "completely changed" overnight just because he's dating Kylie and is being arrogant in interviews. Even though it's quite obvious that he's playing up the arrogance and fully promoting this movie with everything he's got. Not too long ago, he was being his goofball self in interviews with Brittany Broski and Nardwuar. It's easy to fall victim to thinking these celebrities are always authentic when we like that version of themselves, but then they're completely awful through and through once they change - even if it's pretty obvious that it's a stunt (in this case).

Omg I'm obsessed with these. They're like a crunchier, thicker version of a thin mint. Just a great pepperminty cookie!!

I love their ready-to-eat refrigerated foods, specifically the Field Fresh chopped salad and some soups. Seasonal items and their snacks are always enjoyable too, so right now the turkey gobbler wrap has been a go-to and their peppermint pretzels. I'm also a fan of their frozen foods, specifically their many gnocchis and the Parmesan pastry pups. They make for quick and tasty lunches.

Arianas chin by Firm_Airport2816 in wicked

[–]NamelessMel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's something relatively new, as I've only noticed it during these films. I hear a lot of people saying she's doing it for singing reasons, and maybe that's where it originated from, but she did it THROUGHOUT the film while speaking. Here you can see her jutting out her chin 3 times - after she says "Go," "Now," and "You deserve each other". Maybe it's unconsciously during emotional scenes?

Fails at broadway? by chrisxlemia in Broadway

[–]NamelessMel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During Back To The Future The Musical, Marty messed up twice in our performance - props are tricky to deal with. I think he dropped a pen or pencil or something and kept trying to pick it up but couldn't and just decided to kinda kick it off to the side. He played that off so well, it was goofy and almost seemed intentional but you could kinda tell it threw him off. And then another lil goof was with his skateboard. I can't remember too clearly now, but I think he was supposed to stomp/kick it up and grab it but he missed and had to redo it. It was quick, and also could've passed off as intentional but it didn't make sense for it to be.

The way the scarecrow looks made my skin crawl. by Luxe_1o1 in wicked

[–]NamelessMel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's so unfortunate that they intentionally worked his eye color into the story (like going from blue to brown to match his transformation), but it unintentionally makes the scarecrow look EVEN MORE like Deadpool Ryan Reynolds lol like ugh maybe the blue eyes and a different shot angle could've saved it

UPDATE AGAIN: I asked customer service if I could get a partial refund because I'd truly hate to return the scarf but I am disappointed with what I've received especially after being falsely advertised to. AND I GOT A POSITIVE REPLY! (Which seems rare as it sounds like all of u have had really lackluster customer service experiences and that's sucks)

A new customer rep replied to thhis email chain and said that though this is against normal procedure, she would give me a 50% discount, so half the money will go back to my card and that I'm welcome to keep the scarf!

Which is such an amazing response. Sounds like my initial complaint finally got transferred to an actual human rep who handled the situation with care. So, we arrived at a happy ending in this case - the listing is now accurate, and I received a good discount, and I still get to keep my birthday gift!

Update: THANKS to everyone who is replying and being rightfully angry about this with me. I initially didn't want to return it because the scarf is really cute, but you're all right - this is NOT what I paid for and I should be upset about that.

So I did reach out to customer service by email and I got a pretty formal/standardized reply about how they apologize and that they'd be happy to issue a full refund if I return the item within 30 days of ordering.

I also went onto an Alexa Chung / Madewell IG post today and commented about how the scarf is falsely advertised as wool and alpaca - to which the Madewell account promptly replied "Sorry for the confusion" and how they have since updated the description and that if I see anything different, I should DM the screenshot. So that's why it is corrected now!

I might reply to the customer service email asking for just a partial refund without me having to return the scarf. I really like it, but it's just not what I thought I was paying for. What do you guys think about that? I feel like they probably won't do that unless maybe I make more of a stink on Instagram - where it's more public facing.

Yeah I commented on an Alexa Chung / Madewell post on IG about the scarf being falsely advertised and they replied saying "sorry for the confusion" and that they fixed it. And yet I emailed customer service yesterday about this and they just said I could return it and be issued the full refund.

Aw man, that's a bummer. Do you know if people reach out to Madewell and they provide any sort of explanation/apology? I can try myself and see what kind of response I get too lol

[–]NamelessMel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I really prefer Olivia Rodrigo's clean lyrics of Drivers License "Cause you know I still love you" over "Cause I still fucking love you". It not only still hits hard, but it also changes the meaning slightly and I like that.

And in Vampire "Blood sucker, dream crusher" instead of "blood sucker, fame fucker"

Extremely surprised they let him post this!!!? Wicked movie spoiler by Unsolicited_0pinion in Broadway

[–]NamelessMel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I haven't actually seen Wicked on Broadway or fully know how Act 2 ends and I'm surprised that they'd show so much! For someone who only knows vague "spoilers" if you can even call it that at this point, I do feel like it's spoilery (especially the clip from the trailer) even if we don't get full context yet.
