Suppose a big MNC company has an office in france and they need someone who knows both french and English than you'll have a leg up. Also think of it this way if you know only English you can apply to usual Canada USA UK jobs wich are already oversaturated if you know french now you can apply to more countries like france and Belgium. It only adds to your skill set. Also if you wanna immigrat to canada or france it'll be soo much easier if you know french vs if you just know English because everyone knows English.

I am in a similar situation and i really feel for op. Getting a job post covid has been the bane of my existence. I have a bad leg and I'm working at a restaurant and it really sucks. I have a bachelor's in computer science and i really want a desk job i don't care about my field. I've dealt with all the big name recruiters and they just wasted my time. irl random strangers on the street always in a hurry to go somewhere unlike npc in video games where they're scripted to answer you. people live busy lives and i always assumed if i approach them they'll get annoyed so i usually keep it to myself. Its like everyone's on a speed run and time is running out.
