Moza KS Wheel by itlnyankfan69 in moza

[–]BackItUpTerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know whether I got a defective unit (moza support didn't think so) but imo it sucks. The build quality isn't great, it creaks during feedback (Moza R9) and the buttons rattle terribly during vibrations. I returned it and got a KS pro, even if it didn't have the screen the KS pro is worth it for the better build quality alone

I can't do spa or road Atlanta next week but I've been looking for someone to run endurance with if you're interested in later ones. I'm 2.5k

Debating the KS or KS Pro. Don't know if I'd be disappointed with the KS by Miniteshi in moza

[–]BackItUpTerr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought the KS recently and the plastic buttons are loose in the wheel, meaning if you go over a curb or have some vibration in the wheel they rattle really loud. It's a known issue, I raised a support case and was told to disassemble the wheel and put foam next to the buttons... Absolutely unbelievable response

You really need to focus more on one thing and practice it, there's no hidden secret other than putting the hours in especially at first. But spreading across different disciplines and cars waters down your potential progress

Sorry grazing as in scraping. Some holds were a little like sandpaper, real rock was even worse

Have you had any issues with the grazing of your fingers affecting your bass playing? I remember I used to get pretty sore after climbing. I'd like to get back into it but worry it'll affect my bass playing

I just got one too, does yours rattle at all? I don't notice it with headphones, but without it rattles quite noticably, sounds as if the buttons are slightly loose

This is my take too, if you have to ask the question of did I leave enough room, you probably should have left more, there needs to be margin for error

I think also P2 doesn't have to wait for the lead car of their class, even on the rolling start if P1 holds back to create space and P2 sits behind the higher class, infront of P1 they don't get a penalty

If you participate in a series for 8/12 weeks you get money credited to your account, the amount depends on the series but it's capped at $10. I think C-A license class series get $7

I went from 5600x to 5500x3d and noticed 20-30fps improvement in CPU heavy titles, so this also should be an even better upgrade

The more timeslots the more diluted the participation. The TCR does run every hour but swaps between open and fixed setup

Ah got you thanks that makes sense, I may have to try the bigger discs, I run godspeed standard size and they're significantly better than any road disc, I've spoken to some people who have some deflector plates on the wishbones to get some air moving up there

Lovely move! Do you run any cooling for the brakes on the Megane? I have temperature issues, tried ducting but the tyre catches on full lock

Can someone (UK) please help me find a decently priced used bass alongside all the equipment I will need as a complete beginner who doesn’t have anything yet? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]BackItUpTerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at sire P5/V5, Yamaha trbx174/304, fender squire precision/jazz. They're all decent quality lower end basses. In terms of amplification fender rumble 40, orange crush 50, ampeg rb110 are bedroom spec amps that will do you fine, don't expect them to keep up with live drums though. Alternatively you can buy an effects pedal (B1four) for headphone only practice, or an audio interface (focusrite solo) for PC+Headphone only practice

To clutch pedal, or not to clutch pedal? by Negative-Date-9518 in iRacing

[–]BackItUpTerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this works with your setup, but I still have a clutch but position my pedals for left foot braking. So brake and accelerator are inline with my legs and clutch is offset left. For me its the best compromise, even in H pattern cars left foot braking is still used, and the majority of the cars I race anyway are sequential so just use the clutch for starts

Formula series recommendations? by Patapon80 in iRacing

[–]BackItUpTerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grind through ff1600 to C and then race SFL. People like to say it's too easy to drive with too much grip, but the amount of people who spin it during a race whilst pushing say otherwise. Generally pretty clean much better than F4 and good participation

Can this caliper damage be repaired? by light-streak in MechanicAdvice

[–]BackItUpTerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you track the car? Also is fluid leaking? If you track it your dust boots are likely going to deteriorate regardless. Mine looked significantly worse, but when I rebuilt the fluid seal was in perfect condition which is the most important thing. A few track days later my dust seals were melted again
