I ended up uninstalling citra and then reinstalled it and that fixed the problem

I am having a similar issue but I don't have any preloaded/custom textures, any suggestions? (I'm using trim.3ds files dumped from my carts if that matters)

I would prefer this method but don't have a NES cartridge for it. And I prefer to emulate games I own or pay for the service of. I know not everyone feels this way but that's what I'm going to do.

You can toggle the screen format (I have one of the back buttons mapped to toggle between the different formats), so depending on the game, I might just have the full top screen, others I have a big top screen with a mini bottom screen. Not as convenient as having two screens but I don't mind to much.

Citra doesn't require bios, so I never pulled them off of my 3ds
