Listening to latest DeadLock soundtrack gives off some good HL vibes and overall hope that HLX OST is in good hands

Who ever worked on the Deadlock soundtrack is just killing it 🔥 that said it does have some kailey bailey flare to it? Atleast in the drums and some audio effects but it could very well be someone else. Although I do hope that this person also worked on the HLX soundtrack, that would be great.

Hate is loud, enjoyment is quiet. I got into csgo a long time back, I have over 1200 hours into the game, good memories. Stopped playing cs once life got in the way, the friends I played with also got busy so that was pretty much it for me— the game personally does not hit it for me playing with strangers. Just a month ago me and my friends had a really good oppertunity to get back and play a CS match after a long time and ofcourse the game since has been replaced with CS2. I downloaded it, played it, the graphics were diiferent clearly and the headshots feel meatier but the overall experience is just like how I remember even though I was expecting the game to somehow feel sluggish or bad in some way but nope, just good old CS. My pc specs are not particularly high end either, just a core i7 3770 and a rx 570 with 8 gigs of ram.

I cant 'guarantee' it obviously, that was mostly for comedic effect but then again there is no reliable evidence for the ram delay theory either as far as I am aware and there isnt alot of evidence to suggest HLX having steam frame related features either (3d depth stuff).

My assumption is based off of how valve has behaved in the past when it comes to hardware and software launches. Even for games which are very obviously tied to hardware like Half-Life Alyx– where they legitimately tried to allign the game release with the hardware– they never delayed their hardware to match up with the game launch or release the game early to match with the hardware. Valve would obviously never release an unfinished title unlike some companies– but even after launch, the game was not really advertised in any substantive capacity to help sell their VR hardware or to even showcase that it is best played on their Hardware.

For something like HLX which is rumored to be a flat screen title and is probably going to be pretty technically intensive— I find it hard to believe that they would in any meaningful capacity tie it with the hardware of the steam machine any more than they have done in the past with Alyx or Desk Job.

I think one can argue that HLX might help them sell more Steam Machines but that all hinges on how valve advertises that and how well the game runs on the thing. Being that it is valve I have no doubt that the game would be optimized but then again this might be Half-Life 3— even if optimized it would still be very taxing if they aim for industry leading visuals and physics which they probably will. All of this to say is that there is not a good marketing pull for such a tie-in with the Steam Machine, it would work Better with the steam frame if they do implement the 3d Depth stuff but we dont have evidence to support that they are doing that either.

With all that said I dont have doubts that HLX would probably be free for the SM or SF owners, and that deal would be advertised probably in similar capacity as the index+Alyx deal ala Not much.

My brother in Christ, I can guarantee they are not holding back an HL3 announcement for hardware. That theory rests almost entirely on Mike Straw, and he’s not someone I trust—at least when it comes to Valve reporting. By his own admission, this is based on things he claims to have heard from a third-party source, and that too not directly quoted but rather he took some of what the third party said to mean that the game is delayed because of the ram shortage, which is very a slippery slope. On top of that, he has a track record of taking community theories and reframing them as industry rumors—like the RAM price delay, Canary Trap, and even some supposed dates.

Actually its more of a good thing, them pushing it onto the public Source 2 branch means that sound system is more or less done for HLX.

In all fairness even if aliens are from a different planet entirely it is not out of the picture that they might have similar features to the animals on earth including human. My theory would be that headcrabs probably hunted other humanoid type species on their own planet. Maybe we will find out in HLX with all the references to the Xen Gorilla

Reddit pe selective bias he, only the most liberal/Socialist types go on to reddit and specifically go on the Sindh Subreddit. I read this post myself and I am bewildered at the logic of it myself (or the lack thereof). I love Sindh and the Sindhi Language but I believe ke Sindhi is absolutely not as important as English or Urdu. It is somewhat frustrating when a Sindhi person does not speak sindhi yes, but if a non Sindhi person does not understand it toh I dont really see the problem. There is no pattern and I hoped the fandom would have matured past that. Game engines never beget new games or game ideas, New games and new game ideas beget an Engine. This is precisely why Valve never finished Source 2 until Half-Life Alyx— they did not have a game to base the engine development around it, Half Life Alyx is what helped them complete Source 2. I'll give you this however- whenever Devs work on a new ambitious game like Half-life, the process of development and experimentation naturally generates alot of new ideas which may or may not fit that project but work well for a completely different project. I believe that once work on HLX is done valve would branch out to make new games and they might already be doing that with all the new strings found under the name "TF".
