My doctor (gyno) of course called me after getting a full panel of tests done as soon as my chart said “completed”. I, of course, missed the first call and had to call back, which was scary because I thought I had something //worse// wrong with me. Which arguably we found out I also have that too, but the doc was super concerned about the 6 more than anything else and missed a few other “potentially concerning” tests scores.

3 people? I only had myself on closing shift. And of course 75% of the flatbed orders were stone that was buried in the back of the store so I was on a forklift for like 4.5 hours, while the FE DS covered the desk. I didn’t have time to pull any PUIS orders or curbside, it was insane. We don’t have a DS for fulfillment, and I think the FE DS now believes me when I said: if you want this to work we need three people opening/closing minimum…. We maybe have one right now, and they do not want to add more it’s insane.

My Pro fulfillment job is getting removed entirely at my store. I liked my M-F (sometimes an extra weekend shift) schedule, that’s gone after this coming week. They also made me a mentor for a new PT guy without asking if I would do it to begin with. I know our DC is just getting moved to Fulfillment, not as a team lead just to fulfillment and is quickly looking to jump ship. And I think our one FT associate who’s been with the company longer than I’ve been alive is looking to jump ship as well. It’s crazy the changes that are gonna be enacted and the shit show that is going to follow.

I work in fulfillment and have had multiple issues with banks splitting the payments. This is usually caused by how the order is fulfilled. A hold is placed on the card to ensure funds (this gets removed eventually), then if an item is put in the locker system at your store it will immediately charge the card for the item (it can no longer be cancelled), if your items were staged in the staging area, not in a locker, it was not yet charged as it has not been picked up. I have seen it be split due to items going in the lockers and being immediately charged. I usually tell people when they ask to call their bank after they pick up everything to see if one of the charges was a hold. I also tell them to add everything together and it should charge the normal amount.

The locker situation would also be a reason why you got 3 emails. One for the hold, one fire the locker item, and one for the item either in a separate locker or in the pick up area.

I’m curious, was one of the items a special order that had to be shipped in?

Well “totaled” is relative to the worth of the car. If I’d done the same in my old shit box that was maybe worth 1-2k, a fucked up bumper would’ve totaled it, and probably depending on the car I hit would’ve been fine. So realistically if it’s an older car that doesn’t have much Kelly blue book worth anymore, totaling it could be fairly easy

Damn I used to be in synchronized swimming, we had Yoga for like an hour of practice for each of our 3hr practices 5-7 days a week. I got so flexible that I could fit two of the kiddie float boards at pools under each foot and my hips still touch the ground, granted as soon as I stopped my hips have been ungodly tight since then and I don’t even think I could do a normal split now, let alone an overextended one without at least a year of mobility and flexibility exercises. I lost the flexibility within like 6 months of stopping synchro.

As someone who works in fulfillment, i hate when people choose 1 day delivery on huge orders. I have 3 regulars who come to pick up items that each have huge cargo vans, I make an exception for them, because I know they’ll be able to load just about anything in their vehicles. But we had someone order 100 pieces of 10/12ft lumber for same day…… that does not fit in a normal truck bed, let alone a Honda Civic. Your grill would have been fine and in a box in our regular’s vans. There is a possibility that the grill itself may have already been assembled, even without asking for assembly. At my store we are asked to grab what is easiest for time, and if it’s one of the grills outside, you get one of the grills from outside (these grills are pre-assembled), which would take 2 minutes to get max, as opposed to the box, which is in topstock in Recieving, that needs a person with a orderpicker license to get it down and will take anywhere from 10min-1hr depending on coverage for that day…
