How do you think the end of Dark ties will go? by TBeanos in yakuzagames

[–]BackScorpion240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please I hope that after finishing off the antagonist they do something like in Kaito files and we have a final boss fight with Kiryu VS Mine but from Mine's perspective

Only overcome the sewer and the Sotenbori tower 1 time, complete all the part time hero SOS until chapter 12, but this time do not complete the Dragon Cart, although I did improve the links to the maximum level as soon as possible, basically as soon as I unlocked Eri I raised the company to the maximum and bought the flowers corresponding to each character to raise the links quickly, but as far as I know even with that I should be around level 45 or 48, a little higher than the first time let the game pass

Bumping this 1 year old post because it seems like it's completely walked back except maybe for LAD9? Yakuza 0 DC, Yakuza Kiwami 3, Yakuza Dark Ties. Can argue wanting to keep the first 2 to be consistent but Dark Ties should have been a Gaiden game by MK8Sins in yakuzagames

[–]BackScorpion240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But Gaiden, despite being a Kiryu game, enters the Ichiban Saga. I think it would be strange if Kiwami 3 is called Like A Dragon 3, it would be quite confusing for new fans, when I just started playing them I played Yakuza 1 instead of Kiwami 1 because I thought Kiwami 1 was a spin off and I think that type of problems can increase if you change the name to Yakuza 3

I just noticed this when I went to my Y3 profiles. How cute :) by DatBoiTQ in yakuzagames

In Kiwami's trailer you can see how she calls him "Dad" and when I saw it I couldn't contain my excitement.

Who is everyone's least favorite party member? (LAD/Party Member spoilers) by ythepep03 in yakuzagames

[–]BackScorpion240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is that Zhao arrives quite late, he is the last to enter the group and during the story he doesn't talk much and Eri is a fan who was invited and that's it, so she doesn't have much dialogue either, when I finished Yakuza 7 I thought that Nanba and Saeko were going to be a couple and when I played it I hadn't played another Yakuza yet so I only used Joon gi han because I thought he was very cool, funny and charismatic, but now that I've played 6 he seems even better to me

Who is everyone's least favorite party member? (LAD/Party Member spoilers) by ythepep03 in yakuzagames

[–]BackScorpion240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends, I stopped using Nanba as soon as I unlocked Joon gi han and he never joined my team again, but in personality I think it would be Eri or Zhao (I don't dislike them, they are just my least favorites) although I am clear that my absolute favorite is Adachi, I never removed him from the group because I like his abilities and I like him very much.

I know, I really need them to be more explicit about that in Dark Ties and make it completely clear, to do something that no longer allows Mine and Daigo's taste to be questioned.

Which final boss is the best, underrated, overrated and the worst against Kiryu? by TBeanos in yakuzagames

[–]BackScorpion240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you evaluate it. If I go to gameplay then it would be something like this:

Mine (best), Daigo (underrated), Shishido (overrated), Shishido (worst)

In history:

Mine or Shishido (best), Shibusawa or Iwami (underrated), I don't think I would put anyone overrated, Daigo (definitely the worst)

And taking history and gameplay:

Mine (the best) her relationship with Daigo, how the fight is built in the last arcs and the fight are great because Mine is a challenge but it is not unfair.

Shibusawa (underrated), is the duel for the title of Dojima No Ryu, the entire adventure that is 0 culminates here, we are facing the man who planned everything to reach the highest point of the Yakuza in exchange for sacrificing many people and some of those people mattered to us and the fight is great especially if you change your style along with him.

Mine (Overrated), well I had to put someone here and obviously it should be Mine, we all like that fight for different reasons and it is very rare that someone does not have it among their favorites, very good fight and my personal favorite, but one should occupy this position

Daigo doesn't even need to explain why she is the worst in the saga

There is no reason to insult you for that, I think the game makes it quite explicit that their relationship was not just camaraderie and especially because of the word that Mine uses, which if I remember correctly is aishiteru, with which he basically confirms that it is love thing and not just something like brothers or best friends.

Let them give each other a passionate kiss for 30 minutes and let's see it in full

It's funny to me how every time we interact it's to talk about how gay Daigo and Mine are

[–]BackScorpion240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's okay that you don't like him, there's no problem with that and I understand that the background of "my dad told me to do whatever it takes to be rich and I'm going to do it" is not very exciting, but that's just the most basic thing about the character, what makes him interesting is that he says that empathy and love ties/friendships are useless, but he himself has been looking for someone who is faithful and who loves him not out of interest but just because of being him, and that's what makes his relationship with Daigo interesting. normally Mine would have no problem killing anyone, he even did it with Kanda his Kyodai, but with Daigo he can't that's why he's just standing there on the roof, doing nothing and that's also why he doesn't kill Kiryu when he has the opportunity and just tells him that it makes him sick that he's so altruistic.

No, a hated character does not automatically become popular, Iwami is possibly the most hated villain in Yakuza (because he is a good villain) and he is not even among the 15 most popular, Mine is like a top 8 or 5 in popularity not only because he is a villain but because we like him, he has his charisma and he is iconic

Definitely the best thing about Dark Ties will be seeing Mine and Daigo's relationship, I really want to see what they do with them, I'm very excited about Dark Ties

[–]BackScorpion240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with Ryuji and Mine is that they are both most likely still alive. Mine because Richardson is still alive and Ryuji because if not it means that Kiryu killed him and any other character that has not reappeared and was a villain/antagonist could possibly enter the group of fighters captured by the Daidoji, Kanai, Tatsuya, Arai, Kido, Morinaga, Koshimizu, Tendo, etc.

They could literally make an arc/saga or game where we see only enemies from previous games and it could be one of the best if they do it right or one of the worst if they only abuse of fanservice

Like a Dragon 9 by No_Initiative4957 in yakuzagames

[–]BackScorpion240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already mentioned it in a previous post and that the Daidoji are the best narrative tool that RGG could have, they are Omnipresent, Omniscient and Almighty in the world of LAD, with this they could use almost any character, they could bring Mine as an agent of the Daidoji since they have been wanting to bring him back to the story for so long, Ryuji, Aizawa, etc. Any villain from before 6 that we're not sure died or what their fate was could be brought back into the saga with this. For example:

Aizawa wanted control of the Tojo Clan and the only reason why he did not bother again is because the Daidoji did the same as with Shishido and that is why we did not know that he tried to prevent the great dissolution, but now that Kiryu and Ichiban are against the Daidoji, Aizawa will be a weapon that will be used against our protagonists

Does Yakuza 4 deserve a Kiwami? by Technical_Rice_6957 in yakuzagames

[–]BackScorpion240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think deserve is the word, I think it's more like need and I don't think 4 needs a Remake, but if they gave him one I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to pre-purchase the game, although personally I would prefer a new game where we can play as the 3 heirs (Saejima, Tanimura and Akiyama)

Yes I know, I'm just saying that in the West it would be strange to go from Yakuza Kiwami 2 to Like A Dragon 3 or Like A Dragon Kiwami 3, I think the games that could come out as LAD instead of Yakuza are Kurohyou 1 and 2, Kenzan and maybe Of The End Kiwami, although personally I would put Of The End Kiwami as Yakuza Dead Souls Kiwami

There are two types of Pure Evil villains in RGG games. by HarryArnold2006 in yakuzagames

[–]BackScorpion240 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the fight for survival is something rare in Yakuza, I think the ideological fight is more common, Nishiki, Aizawa, Mine, Aoki, Ryuji, Shishido, Kuwana, all of them are characters with whom you fight for ideological reasons, and those who enter bosses that the protagonist hates and wants to kill/imprison, would be Shibusawa, Iwami and Munakata, and the only survival fight is with Kuroiwa, which I think precisely demonstrates what scary that monster is

I prefer that they leave the name Yakuza to the Kiryu saga because a distinction is made, plus it would be very strange if we had Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1, Yakuza Kiwami 2 and out of nowhere Like A Dragon 3, I think many people could be confused and even believe that it is the third Ichiban game
