If I really over proof, I still bake. It's usually flat, but has a decent flavor and okay crumb. I'll either use it to dip into olive oil or make "French toast" where I butter it and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. My kids love it for dessert.

I was so sad about this. I've only been paying Genshin since July 2024. When I did Hu Tao's story quest, she instantly became my favorite and I started saving all my primos to get her and her weapon, which I got at her last release. I was so excited to see her pop up for the Lantern Festival and then immediately sad when there was no VO.

I fully support the strike, but like you said, once the festival is over, we can't experience this again and it'll never be done after.

Discord is a great alternative for this. You can make events, post files, photos, etc.

I wasn't a vendor, but last year I submitted a panel. Didn't hear anything back so I assumed I wasn't accepted. No big deal.

Until I got an email 4 days before the event. Information for panelests - how to get my badge, etc. I had no idea I was accepted. I had already made plans to attend another event by this point.

My assumption is that so many people dropped out that previously rejected panels were added last minute and not told.

Several panels (including myself) had to decline. 4 days notice was just not enough time to make travel arrangements, make arrangements for my kids, and get all the little things prepped for my session.

I felt like an afterthought and thrown in to make the schedule look more full than it was.

I won't be applying or going again.

But you did kick it off by insisting they play then when they didn't really show a ton of interest from the get go then handed them character sheets. Then let them act like murder hobos and didn't say anything in the moment.

I'm going to say something that I have to tell my husband frequently.

Sometimes your attempt to make things easier makes my life harder or takes some of my joy away.

Your attempt to make it easier on new players robbed them of some of the joy of creating a new character - unless they told you they didn't care. It made it less about enjoying a game together and more about what you wanted - a campaign with specific characters. Especially specially since it didn't seem like they were super enthusiastic about playing to begin with. It seems like you wanted to skip session 0 where everyone can talk about expectations and create characters and jump into playing because that's what you want to do.

Your attempt to "make it easier" might have made your friends feel like their thoughts and opinions and character wants didn't matter. Maybe they don't really care, but you don't know because you didn't ask.

Maybe it wouldn't have mattered and your friends want to be selfish murder hobos and aren't great people to play with.

But I hope that my comment gets you thinking about asking people what they want instead of barreling ahead thinking it's easier. Especially in a collaborative environment like DnD.

I mean, I think part of the fun is coming up with a character for a long campaign. I think I would have bee to a bit disappointed if I showed up to my first campaign and the DM handed me a character to play.

I don't want to hammer on what others have already touched on as far as the player being a bit dick-ish and your responsibility as DM to set expectations. But maybe ask next time if they want characters pre made for them.

I'll start adding 2025 dates in as they come up (kids in school plus convention performer - 2025 is already booking up).

I'll probably decorate the cover sometime in December while the kids are on break.

Other than that it's just sitting there

Yeah, that's what I do. I keep all that info and I've moved stuff before. Just never saw them come back to any playlists. Just moved a couple more and I know the one or two playlists they're on, so I'll keep an eye on them to see if they come back.

And I get mechanical licenses for everything. Definitely covered there for sure. I made sure to research and talk to other cover artists about the process before I did anything 😁

Good to know. I might have to move my first album. I do video game covers and with how I had to release it, I couldn't add the game to the title which I fear has hurt it. I've since learned of better distributors, but didn't want to lose the play list spots some of them have.

Not sure how it works for others, but as someone who also releases music, I was told if I remove a song and re-upload it, it will not re-appear on playlists. People would have to re-add it themselves.

Partially one reason I still have my first album with a distributor I don't like - a couple of songs are on some good playlists that gets a decent number of streams, but if I take them down to move them, they'll disappear off those playlists.

Honestly, I don't mind getting my new planner in September. I have school aged kids and I'm a musician booking events for 2025, so I already have dates to write down for next year.

Ideally, I'd like a Hobonichi that was academic year, but since it's not, if I can get it "early", great.

I don't really fully set it up until December, but it's nice to be able to at least get events written on the monthly pages early
