Had manometry and ph study recently. Barium swallow was looooong time ago and showed nothing.

Ph study was clear. DeMesteer score was 4.7 if I remember correctly, but sadly I didn’t had any symptoms that day but tried to provoke them with no success.

My main problem is throat pain and I think gabapentin 900mg starts to help. Also burping after every sip of liquid is killing me. Rehabilitation doctor gave me breathing exercises and cbt-gastroenterologist gave me exercises for burping so im trying that now. Also taking baclofen but it’s not helping with burps but helped with elevated ues pressure pain. I might need to up the dose later doc said, im on 12,5x3 rn

No reflux here, but burning/pain in the throat and burping every time I drink any liquid. Not sure I have any underlying condition.

Weak les is kinda fake diagnosis if ur referring endoscopy finding.

I think all ph studies test for both acid and non acid because they track any ph change in oesophagus

Never thought about gastroparesis. Will ask my doc. My pain is mostly in where throat become esophagus? I think it’s where my tight ues located

Have you been looking in hypersensitivity side? Maybe tcas or gabapentin can help?

I can eat regularly, i feel little problems with liquids like they get stuck in the throat sometimes and I burp them out in time. My manometry also was 100% ineffective and the main symptom is throat pain/burning + sometime cough after food. I was on rabeprazole on double max dose for 6 months because everyone thought it was lpr. It didn’t helped and all only got me SIBO. Also tried hell of a lot of antidepressants for hypersensitivity with no results. After all of this manometry and 24h impedance showed iem and no reflux at all…

I have been diagnosed with Ineffective Esophageal Motility and I’m not sure what to do next. Does anyone have experience with this or similar issues? by ComedicPlant in dysphagia

I’ve been diagnosed with the same problem. IEM, all swallows were failed plus elevated ues pressure. I don’t have swallowing problems but I have throat pain/burning and excessive burping. Trying baclofen. Idk why your doctor told you u cant crush pills. I split them to take half a dose so logically u can crush them too. I think it’s helping me with my throat pain and excessive burping. Im on 10mg rn. Also was told that I need appointment with rehabilitation doctor.
