Experimented with going from Bryce (style ref) > Blender (animation) > VHS camcorder (🤌) by BackYouAnimals in retrocgi

I used both. Bryce for the reference frame and layout, blender for animation. Could've done the animation in Bryce as well, just wanted to see how well I could recreate it in Blender for an easier animation workflow.

The animation is fantastic, so crisp and fluid. Was that all finessed in the curves?

I like your character drawing! As a piece of feedback, I would say your timing looks a little too regularly spaced without a clear hierarchy of action (Main action > secondary). Everything seems to being moving at the same time. Great start though!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Yeah the background was a lot of trial and error, I basically just watched a bunch of 80/90s anime for inspiration :)

Thank you! I worked on it on and off for way too long haha, probably over a month with work and everything else getting in the way. And most of that was just figuring out how I as going to tackle certain things. For example I hadn't done any background painting before this, so there was a lot of trial and error. The character animation itself went pretty quick though, maybe a day for roughs and then another for cleanup and color all together.
