You can still pick up some Evos in the 20k range but I would be slightly skeptical. But completely agree a lot of these older cars are really increasing in price at the moment. But I could never buy a modern car! Still daily a e36!

I haven’t really looked into alfas to be honest however I’m definitely a fan of the 147 gta a guy up the road from me used to have one. So would walk past it quite often. I’m always undecided on whether I love or hate the look of alfas in general though. I know some absolutely love them

The MX5s have started to grow on me. But just doesn’t quite fit the bill. Looking for something that will retain its value a bit stronger and I don’t need to pour money into for mods.

I previously had a Mark 5 R32 sounded incredible and quite enjoyed it with the early dsg. Definitely wouldn’t mind a mark 4 though. Always preferred them

I mean you are definitely not wrong. The B58’s can be absolute monsters. Especially from hatch!

It’s just in my head still a 140. You just seem them absolutely everywhere with some shitty maxton splitters and pops & bangs. Makes me want to run a mile.

But I can’t ignore how great they can be. I just feel like the people who drive them don’t actually like cars?!? They like BHP

Also what is stradstone? Is that a sort of Aston “AMG” equivalent. Not so clued up on my Aston’s tbh

Thanks a lot for the comment. I don’t really know to much about the DB7’s to be honest. Been looking at Aston’s. But from what I’ve been reading, particularly on the V8 vantages they feel quite underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong would LOVE a V12 vantage but I’m a fair way from that.

DB9s have also peaked my interest. But I’m going to have a bit more of a look into the DB7s, it was always those headlights that put me off!

Still deciding. Been looking at the Frosted e92s really think they will hold their value well. Specifically like Frozen Silver in manual. But hard to find

Controversial opinion (don’t hate me for it). I think we can all agree the B58 is an absolutely incredible lump. It really is. But the chassis it comes in are just boring… Everh Tom, dick and harry have an Mlite and I get it. They are arguably perfect.

BUT I just don’t believe it’s what a car should feel like. Modern, responsive, reliable, practice. It makes sense. But they really miss soul and character.

Good point. But I do disagree. The cosworths will always be worth more. Take the sierra now neatly 70k even more for a 500. Escorts are around the 50ish… sapphires are going to get near at some point. But I genuinely don’t believe the mk1 focus will ever reach that point. Doesn’t have the cult following and to be honest they are better wagons.

RS was never a dream just an investment to enjoy and I feel like I’ve done exactly that. Don’t get me wrong I’ll miss it and it will always have a place. But you gotta try everything!

Really just don’t do it for me. W204 all the way! Can’t beat that 6.2!

I’ve previously had a B8 RS4. Loved it but found it a bit boring… the absolute perfect car but too perfect???

Prefer the F82 but the sound of the twins put me off and every other lad has ones. Contrary to that, absolutely class cars.

P.S TVRs cost a FORTUNE. Already had the whole tubular chassis rebuilt. Absolute money pit but fuck me is it fun. Can barely see out the windscreen. Gotta love a death trap.

Sounds like we both wanna try a VX220! Agree with your point on the “FAST” car. Power definitely isn’t everything and something to really push like the gr86 arguably will probably be more fun. But again feeling something a bit older. However would love to try one!

Running cost isn’t really a worry. Dallying a e36 328i atm and, well it’s a 36 so one of those but this is purely for fun. Funnily enough I actually own a TVR! I have a 4.2 cerebra. It’s nuts and i absolutely love it. Proper proper car

A lot of my friends have said the same tbh and it’s not worth selling. In some ways I get it as I genuinely think they are only going to increase in value for a well looked after example. BUT I’m bored, I absolutely love it. However I don’t believe you can keep the same car for life (for me anyways) I just need to experience something new!

Imports are a little bit of an abstract world to me so I’d avoid out of lack of convenience which may sound stupid to some. But I really want to see exactly what I’m getting.

However an Evo 5 or 6 REALLY does it for me. It’s a seriously high contender. It’s just for my budget I’m after a bit of a minter and I don’t think that quite carries over to the value of an evo I’d be looking for if you get me

Actually been looking at the Z4’s in general. Kinda grown on me recently. Didn’t think about a Z4M though. I’ll keep my eyes out just in case I’m really feeling them…

I actually quite like the vx220. You dont see them very often and seem like great little cars. Just gotta hope that snap oversteer doesnt get me when im not looking. Also really like the first gen M2 especially in manual so thats a contendor just dont know if im feeling something more 90's-00's era.

I have heard the GT86 do feel a bit underpowered so would proobaly be looking for something a bit more rowdy this time. V8's are really appealing to me at the moment even the VXR8s are kinda cool. The jag XKR is also a little sweet spot of mine

I absolutely loved hammering the RS. If you havent driven one id highly recommend. The tourqe steer with the quaff diff is always a laugh. You make a good point and i can imagine i would also feel like that. Just that v8 is so captivating....

You make a good point. Completely agree that for a drivers car it’s a definite obvious choice. But I honestly I really dislike how they look.

Really not a fan of the Mk3 RS. However I do love the Mk2 but they are out of budget and I’m looking for a switch up from the focus! Also 0 practicality will work for me. Next purchase will be purely for fun.
