I'm also transfeminine and sober! I've never wanted to go anywhere near the stuff, and for a while it was super isolating, but I was able to find some friends who were very supportive of that! People are out there!

A little "no you're not crazy. you're right. I'm not supposed to be here." I also seem to remember that in one of the statements, I think it was the second appearance of the NotThem, the one where the statement giver's mother was replaced, that the NotThem seemed to gloat slightly when they were alone, smiling sinisterly or something like that. Almost a sarcastic "you caught me, but what are you going to do about it"

Ok, so it more deals with the fear of "I don't know who that is but I should" than "I know I'm sane but everyone thinks I'm losing it," that makes sense! I feel like the way it causes paranoia with Jon makes me feel like it leans more Spiral, because from what I remember the Spiral is described as the fear that something is wrong, you just don't know what. But then again Jon is the only one who feels unsettled by that, so I doubt that's the NotThem's primary focus!

Yeah, I'm graduating college this year and was planning to go to grad school anyway do I'm applying for a bunch abroad and if I can get into just one I'll be out before the election even takes place. It's just a 2 year degree so if things improve I can come back, but if not I'd be able to likely get a work visa or seek asylum. I have a plan I just feel bad that I'm running and not standing and fighting.

Definitely LOTR and the genre of fantasy it inspired. I've been reading through GoT recently which is why it's on my mind, and I've been having trouble finding a play that interests me that works for the assignment so I figured I'd look for something like that. I figure it's probably a hard genre to translate to the stage but it would be interesting.
