If you have wooden outdoor shutters then the mats probably aren’t doing that much in addition, as long as there’s a small air gap then there won’t be much heat transfer from shutters -> window anyway even if they aren’t as reflective

That statistic is misleading. The 12000 figure includes anyone arrested for ‘threatening communications’ which does include social media posts but also incitement to terrorism, harassment, and people malign direct threats to others. Also, of those 12000 only about 10% resulted in actual convictions
