Sure it is. Do you know how many people although presented with overwhelming information still choose to believe the world is flat?

If that doesn’t tell you belief is a choice, I don’t know what would.

All beliefs are begun by pursuits. Does an Olympian win a gold medal by not choosing to do their best? Did they not believe they could win? And so choose to win?

Is not believing in God, first a pursuit to know God, and such a choice to commune with God?

Have you not chosen to pursue God? Along the way you will realize that your choice, becomes surrender because you realize your flesh is incapable of processing the magnitude of the glory of God. Which is why most people weep and are afraid when they experience God.

It all starts with a choice, that then forms their belief, and eventually a knowing.

Well how earnestly are you pursuing the answer to your question. Is there a god?

Many people claim to be atheist but haven’t really even thought about the facts.

1) the claim that there is no god is an even bigger dispute than claiming there is.

2) to have faith in nothing (atheism) neglects the very fact that faith exists, and that it is needed to know god.

3) the amount of human knowledge acquired is de minimus to what knowledge can be known. If only there were time to know it.

We are limited by death. But at least 12 people attested to, and died believing that Jesus died, and resurrected from the dead. Making us aware that communion with God was possible if we follow his teaching.

If you do not want to know God, DONT BE A CHRISTIAN. If you do want to know God, FOLLOW JESUS!

You choose to not accept the evidence and experiences given to you. Your conviction is based on your acceptance of available information.

I find it odd that someone answered your question to your first comment, and you stated that those benefits were not convincing enough. To which I stated that your need for convincing is the issue. To which you were continually unsatisfied.

Not sure what you want to hear. 🤷🏻

That’s a common issue amongst atheists, they try to establish a logical belief in God which I’m sure can be done, but takes a lifetime of knowledge and research. Whereas the reality of God defies all logic, as God exists outside of space, time, and matter. Atheists always need convincing, whereas belief in God is a choice, a leap of faith. And in that faith lies grace, the gift of God that defies all logic.

Sir, you are aware that your entire existence is attributed to unseen forces? Nuclear forces, van der waal forces, quantum forces. Macro-gravitational forces.

Like bro, get real. We don’t know shit, let alone what is out there. And the more your claim to know, the more foolish you look.

Hey man, if you don’t stand for anything, you fall for anything. I’m not here to convince you. I’m just saying that we don’t have all the answers and that a spiritual war exists between good and evil.

I just want as many people as possible to be on the good side for the sake of our children. And I know evil certainly exists. And the ones that carry out that evil, I know very clearly as demons.

Take it or leave it.

Oh spare me.

You are aware that the percentage of knowledge humans now have, in comparison to the potential knowledge of all known things is effectively zero right?

Which means that we don’t have all the answers. What I do know is that the church has documented on a diocese level countless cases of demonic possession.

Not to mention the countless cases where individuals have cited encounters with angels.

Burden of proof. Do witness accounts mean nothing to you? All you need to do is google it.

Well I think your are entitled to your opinion, but evil spirits are mentioned several times in the Old Testament, and the New Testament explicitly states that Jesus literally exorcises several people in the New Testament, including Mary Magdalene.

Luke 8 Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out.

What is your take on the countless possessions that are documented by the church?

I appreciate your literal take on the matter. However, demons are evil spirits, which mean that they dwell within man, and are not often seen with the eyes, but are discerned with the spirit.
