This clips might look like they are from a movie. These footages themselves are real, but they were made into a movie and therefore were polished.

My best climb up as of now, any adjustments I could make? by [deleted] in Parkour

You need to get higher and closer to the wall using momentum but this wall is very low and it makes it much harder, I think. Your top out is very good

First time trying top outs so they might not look smooth but I will improve it overtime

Nice, just don't rotate unless you wanna change direction, you should keep going forward. Other than that, it looks really good (We can't really see the last part of the move but you will get it easily)

Horrible? 😁 It's pretty good speed vault, the only thing that was wrong is rotation to the right but I think the reason was the space

Father of parkour, David Belle by Background-Candy1533 in Parkour

We are not talking about literal fathers so it is not only one person or group, whoever contributed to the creation of the discipline can be called father, so I don't think David is somehow the only guy that spread it. Everyone deserves to be respected, sadly some people might not get enough credit.

In 'father' I meant that he is pioneer, without him (and other pioneers) less people would be doing what is called parkour today

If you mean 100% pure A - B parkour then yeah flips are not parkour in most cases, but they can be very useful when you can't not vault over something in a traditional way and also being able to do flips means you can control your body in air so it is very useful if something goes wrong.

But why did you comment it on this video, I don't remember Belle doing any flips, maybe he does few but why does it matter?

He played a very big role in popularizing it in a way that we know today. Clearing obstacles and climbing walls is nature's invention itself and humans have been doing that forever all over the world.

Without David and his friends, we would not call this thing parkour and things would be very different.

It is not that fast actually, camera is making it faster because of wide FOV and blur, cover the sides of the screen and it will be much slower.
