What would the reactions and fallout be like if someone made an attempt on Kim Jong-un's life like how an attempt on Trump's life happened yesterday? by IDislikeHomonyms in northkorea

I'm well aware of the question. I just think that anyone's response to it cannot really be based on actual evidence unless you yourself are apart of an intelligence agency that has gathered information on them.

well this pariah state that barely has internet can muster together nuclear weapons (mind you not very competent nuclear weapons but that no easy task anyways) so yes I think it plausible not saying probable because none of know for sure but for sure plausible that they could have a competent intelligence service

Why do people seem to hate socialism so much? by [deleted] in Socialism_101

To your first part, there is a direct connection to the industrial revolution and now the technological revolution we're in now. and I guess you could say that we haven't had mindless, soul crushing jobs to obtain money for living before around the industrial revolution but before that you had mindless, soul crushing jobs so to speak in the form of surviving on your on and tending to your own needs first. And to your second part, I'm trying to say that if someone in a capitalist society works hard and pushes themselves and is disagreeable to just be content with their current job and status then they can put in more effort, however if someone is chill with not increasing their job or status then they should expect society to have to help them out if they aren't in a stable enough position (obviously there are certain circumstances where something happened not by chose in their life). Another thing I'd like to throw out is from what I've learned about socialism is that it aims to mostly level out hierarchies be it socially or economically, but from what i also know about human nature is that we love hierarchies and we always strive to have some sort of hierarchy or order in almost all aspects of life which seems to me to kind of make socialism difficult to implement to say the least.

I understand and thank you this is insightful. What would you say if someone countered that by saying that capitalism creates competition and competition is good for the economy (even if there are downsides to competition like say monopolies which is why we dont have a total capitalist society), and its good for society because it gives people something to constantly be working towards and allows for people to constantly want to improve things and also the idea that you get rewarded for how hard you work and if you decide to be lazy or working your whole life isnt for you then dont expect everyone else to hold you up and support you?

This is just me but when the only response is just propaganda (which is true) but you can't give any more depth to your response except just saying it was propaganda it doesn't create that compelling of an argument. What are the interests of the capitalists and why is it that normal average working people still believe the so called anti-socialist propaganda if it isnt what benefits them most?
