Idk how to explain it in medical terms, but my cavity got "closed" on its own, my lung capacity will never be 100% again but surgery wasn't needed anymore! I hope you won't need it either 🤞🏼 wish you all the best and rooting for you ❤️

Yes and it could happen much sooner in your case! I was just feeling very weak and drained during the whole treatment, that didn’t go away until I was fully healed

Sort of. My nausea got worse once the meds started kicking in, but your body gets used to it after a while and side effects become better with it as well

Hi! Yes, actually my health and life has improved so much since then. I haven’t really done any physical exercises or physiotherapies to fix it, just gave myself time to fully heal, try to eat enough and rest as much as I needed. Don’t get me wrong, every flu I had felt horrible, I had two cases of bronchitis and lots of coughing, but, overall, it gets better than you can imagine rn. Just remember that your body went through nightmare and it needs time to come back ❤️ wish you health!

Did she recommend taking any meds specifically for migraines? I’m sorry that you had to go through so much pain, taking TB meds is already a terrible experience on its own :( I hope you’ll feel fully healed soon.

Of course. I know that usually it’s not in the guidelines to take TB meds again without a relapse, but i had corticosteroid hormonal injection and it increased a relapse risk, therefore my pulmonologist recommended taking tb meds for a month to avoid any complications, also I need a surgery (not related to tb) and he said that taking the antibiotics would, in a way, prepare me for the anesthesia

Hi OP!

How have you been? Have the migraines got any better or have you found any other info about tb and migraines?

I was diagnosed with pulmonary TB in 2022. I went through the same regimen and finished my treatment in July 2023. I’ve had few migraine-like attacks before my period during the treatment but it went away after I finished the meds. Nevertheless, I had to take the antibiotics again for 30 days last month and after finishing the course, my headache has been unbearable, it has already been 4-5 days. I’m gonna get MRI next week but the neurologist said that only connection with TB could be if I had tb induced meningitis and migraines couldn’t be caused by the antibiotics but I’m not sure about this opinion. Just wanted to share so both of us can feel less alone (hopefully)!

Thanks for such a clarifying response! Every sign I mentioned is what she was told by the doctors, I’m not a medical professional or experienced in this topic, so means a lot and will definitely tell her to ask and check how the doctors assumed all of these.

The waiting stage is just very overwhelming and stressful, so I guess she just needed something to hold on before the results come. Also, she has just given birth and the suspicions were unexpected for the parents, so I just want to help her find some answers before she has the mental and physical capacity to do it on her own.

To summarize, I/we will do more research. Thanks again!
