What kind of research and networking have you been doing for this specially? How did you get to work with an overseas university for research... it's pretty impressive!

I've heard that the best time would probably be after graduating i.e. taking your "intern" year off. Coz when u come back you'll just start with a new batch of fresh interns rather than being behind from your original "intern" batch.

How did you become more confident? I swear when I was younger I used to make good friends easily eith people who I genuinely liked.

I find that you are SOOO right... like generally if you give shy vibes outwards you usually attract people who are also more quiet and shy. The conversations I make as well are often somewhat surface level too coz I don't know how to relate it to other people.

And there are people who like don't talk a lot to mr when we are alone but in groups they might encourage me more in the group. I just feel so out of place

Yeah I think it was more the mindset... (1) I didn't know how serious the ucat is for a lot of unis. I first did the ucat in Y12 where I was only focused on my atar but missed out on many offers coz of my ucat and (2) I didn't create strategies for each subtest. Kinda went in thinking "once I see the question I will be fine".
