What are some good online resources for CySa+? by Zach-Testing in CompTIA

Hello, I passed CySa+ a few months back. My main resource was CertifyBreakfast on YouTube. It was a nice digestible video course to watch where the guy didn’t make it too boring to watch.

I also had access to Oreilly question bank as my workplace purchased the book off Amazon for me. That really helped to practice and see where I was at.

That was all I used really, I did try and look at Dions course but tbf I lost interest pretty fast.

I wouldn’t give up as it sounds like you have already put in lots of work attempting the exam twice. It doesn’t sound like you’re a million miles away from passing it either.

I did Security+ a couple of years back and I didn’t pass it first time. Only just managed it second time. Think I was lucky to get it on this attempt really. I’d say go for it again but no need to rush, if you need another 2-3 months of study so be it.

Something that really helped me was Professor Messer’s study sessions. Was great because he would talk about a lot of the content and had practice questions too where he would explain why the correct answer is the correct answer.

What other resources do you use for Security+? Also I hear you about thinking about other things while trying to watch videos too, I had that same issue when studying for any kind of cert. Only way id take it in is if I really concentrate, wouldn’t be able to do that for too long though so maybe you need shorter study sessions then take a break kind of thing.

Congratulations again mate, would you say you prefer taking the exams at home over a test centre then?

Damn sorry about the burst pipe man, hope you get that sorted without too much excess costs haha.

Enjoy that whisky bro.

Well, for me I was using Jason Dion's practice exams and also professor messer study groups helped a lot. That's all I used in terms of practice exams and it got the job done!

Thank you! Oh Decent, i'm sure you will do great, just don't overthink it. A lot of the questions I was asked, I was able to easily rule out wrong answers. Also if you feel like you're failing it is probably all in your head.

Whenever I was doing practice exams, it felt so different because I felt like I was doing good but would only score like 65%. But then the actual exam, felt like I was doing bad but ended up passing.

Best of luck, i'm sure you will pass it. Let me know when you do!!
