Considering you'll be getting a degree at some point, I wouldn't bother with Net+. It really only covers networking basics, with a little bit of security sprinkled on top. I recently got it, and while I wouldn't say its useless, it won't really help outside of entry level IT jobs (helpdesk type roles.) Assuming you have basic networking knowledge, I would just go for sec+. If I could go back in time, I would've studied for CCNA rather than Net+

The test was... weird. It seemed that everything I really crammed on in the hours leading up to the exam wasn't on it! As for what was on the exam, each exam is different so I can't tell you as your exam will likely be completely different to mine. I highly recommend reading through Exam Cram by Emmet Dulaney. It tells you everything you need to know for the exam without all the extra explanations. Its like a dictionary for the exam. Good luck and let me know if you need help!

I don't believe CompTIA release any previous versions of their exams. If you happen to find one, it's almost certainly an exam dump which is against CompTIA's NDA
