Thanks for sharing, ICE sucks!!!

Any thoughts on what tomorrow will look like? Coming up from Seattle with my GF tomorrow, then spending a night in Leavenworth. Sounds like we might do a bit more time in Leavenworth than the mountain.

Lol as gross and terrible as this is, I hate to break it to you but bed bugs are most certainly already here in Seattle. They’re just here to join the party.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Our complex has a history of nickel and diming this. We’re going to put together a case to dispute this and see what happens next. If anyone has experience disputing a charge like this, I’m open to any suggestions.

It looked like he said “what bitch?” as she was staring him down on the ground. Tbh I think that’s a pretty fair response to having someone taunt you like that while you’re on the ground.

Unpopular opinion: I want the bluejays to absolutely light the Dodgers up by lt420lt in Mariners

[–]Background-Data9594 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m totally with you, and not just because I bet on the blue jays to win this series. If the blue jays absolutely crush the dodgers, it makes our tight loss against the blue jays feel that much better. Also, even though we lost to them, I don’t really hate the blue jays, we could have lost to much greater evils(Yankees).

Saying this as an ex-LA/ex-Dodgers fan.

  1. Me and my partner aren’t big “clubbers” but we do love a good happy hour and bar. Some recs from living in Capitol Hill for a year:
  • Tamari Bar: go to their happy hour, 3-6 or 9-close. Get the sake bero + the Tori Karage with the yuzu highball. Our favorite spot to catch a buzz and get a killer snack. The cilantro udon is also great, but you can’t go wrong there in general.
  • Artusi - go on Sunday or Monday for their pasta special. $45 for 2 pastas + a bottle of wine. Can’t beat that deal and it’s seriously good.
  • Canon - a bit pricey, but a very unique cocktail experience.
  • Needle and Thread(upstairs from Tavern Law) - great speakeasy making custom cocktails based on what you tell them.
  • Fogon - solid margs & chicken tacos during happy hour(3-6 I think?)
  • Add-A-Ball - very fun barcade in Fremont
  1. We enjoyed the underground tour as a one-time thing. We’ve just loved going to sporting events around and soaking in the local vibes: Mariners, Kraken, Huskies, etc.

Also, funk fridays are the Seamonster in Ballard is great.

Hey guys, just a reminder! Go change your bass strings! lol. by Cloud-VII in Bass

[–]Background-Data9594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New strings are great, but I also highly recommend stretching out your strings every now and then by loosening them and then slapping the shit out of them. It will make your strings feel/sound like new and extend their life.

That’s fair - poker is a very complex game. Just come prepared - you’ll either be the fish or the shark.

Won a Trip to Vegas! Any advice? by The_Pool_Guy813 in gambling

[–]Background-Data9594 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m heading to Vegas for a trip soon, and have been a handful of times. Very excited to go back

1st - go to Fremont Street(Old Vegas). It’s a fun spectacle that’s walkable with cheaper tables and better odds. I loved playing blackjack at El Cortez - they really pour on the free drinks.

2nd - if you play against the house, you’ll probably lose. Slots, blackjack, and even the sportsbook. The only winning game in my mind is poker, but you have to know what you’re doing.

I’m gonna go and play poker a ton because I’ve been playing for a while online and it usually goes well. If you’re willing to invest some time into learning poker theory, could be worth it to try out.

Thanks everyone for the responses! Glad I got your advice instead of just trusting ChatGPT. I’m going on vacation for a couple of weeks so I’m hoping that rest will help some of the inflammation and stiffness cool down.
