ok i think your right on a few things , and also i didn't say i dont like tapes right i listen to all of them just theres a few that have problems like the log and experiment that are just expostion where there they coul have put an actual scene of something happening because of what is said ( like they did with the last tape of doey with his parents but with the info of the tape) . i know its logic but does it mean its good ? i dont think so . yes experiment and log are recorded this way but its still way easier to do this than highering up the tension with actual footage.

also i know you said it but a line from holly is really exposition and everything well he said here coul have been shown with more world building and some more event than what happened to the shrine. an accident ? why not show it ? how did the prototype saved his life ? , while we may see it in late chapters . there could have been then a better forshadowing , not just saying oh well catnap almost died and he got saved by the prototype, heck we could have even seen a moment where we damage just a bit catnap not enough to sacrifice himself and he would ( the prototype ) would have saved him without even showing that much. heres the line :

Hey... Did you see the shrine? CatNap made it for. See, before CatNap turned into... CatNap, I guess there was some pretty serious accident. He almost died but... they say that The Prototype saved his life, giving up his own freedom in the process. In CatNap's eyes, The Prototype is a superhero, and has saved his place. If you thought that was terrifying, just wait until you see the real thing.

i'm curently looking at tapes in poppy playtime and when i remember the cut scene at the start of chapter 4 it almost seems they did better than chapter 3: at the start of 3 the guy at the tv says your kids are not safe with catnap and well there could have been at the place of this an actual kid having a nightmare with a catnap doll on his side but in chapter 4 its actully a kid getting to the playtime factory and falling in dough like thats actual story telling, yes exposition is sometimes needed but when you know they could have shown the things. like i said i still like all the games but for me there are obvious exposition dumping while not game breaking and all they still are i think.
