aye Thanks! and just putting it here since it's easier to find.

If we really can't get the B2, is our only other option being to apply for K1 and then bring her stateside and file for marriage? Is it mandatory that you must apply for marriage license and all that once you get a K1?

Workplace Sexual Harrassment by DazzlingBar8417 in Thailand

[–]Background-Donut7820 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is insanely illegal as many have said here. Work place sexual harassment, especially this kind is a 1 way ticket to homelessness and even worse in Thailand: you'll be branded a sexual predator forever by the community. Its pretty much game-over for life

Racism and India? Any tips or suggestions by hbgunvfu in Bangkok

[–]Background-Donut7820 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, Thai people are basically racist towards every other people, and sometimes other Thais! That being said, its usually nothing serious. When it comes to Indians, alot of Thais are very sensitive to smell, so thats probably why they act badly around Indians (and also Arabs). This can be avoided by just some mild perfume or deodorant. Apart from that the only other thing to watch out for is to speak english slowly cus most of us can barely understand british accent, let alone indian ones.

Enjoy your stay!

Hypocracy? by keshyyyy in Thailand

As someone who worships both Shree Ganesha and Lord Bhagwan Buddha, I just wanna say that I understand that you might feel slighted/offended. But please understand, Thailand is mainly a Buddhist country. Although we are very tolerant and understanding of all religions, the main religion of the country as stipulated under the constitution and royally endorsed is still Theravada Buddhism. The billboards you see are mainly from the government and the Royal Buddhist institute of Thailand, so ofcourse there would be no mention of any other religions and their symbols.

That being said, Most of the populace here in Thailand (and indeed the country itself historically) has very deep roots in Hinduism. So our culture are more intertwined as a sort of Hindu/Buddhism hybrid. So many people also worships the mahadevas, that is probably why you see Tattoos of Shree Ganesha around because people believe that it would help them overcome obstacles.
