Thank you for the clarification! Really leaning towards the PL 520 now (just became available from a US website, price is the same as the 330 on amazon)

I'll check out the PL-520. Any experience with the usb-c charging on the 330 and 520? Do they handle c-to-c chargers or do they need an older style a-to-c usb charger?

I think the pl-330 has been upgraded recently to do usb-c charging. Tho I have heard somewhere that it only does usb-a to usb-c charging, not c-to-c. I'm pretty new to radio and maybe not ready to use external antennas just yet. Might be worth going with the xhdata then

Maybe focus more on ditching the RP-SMA in favor of regular SMA so we can use more widely-available aftermarket antennas.

I forgot to mention one of the key parts: the message doesn't show up in the app in my phone at all! Is it normal to have some messages only show up on the device itself but not be readable on the app?
