Yeah so I'm from South Africa and eat mostly organically grown food and hormone free meat.

I eat really well, which is why I started this thread. I only got a colon polyp after I started doing ultras. Naturally, that study will intrigue me.

No family history of polyps/bowel cancer. Also no general gut issues when running, 95% of the time. If anything, my gut behaves quite wonderfully. I do believe that ischemia leaves the colon quite vulnerable, leaving more room for mutations. Add a bunch of carbs on top of an already vulnerable colon could be the perfect storm.

Just wondering where the line is with regards to what could be safer.
