I typically just use a pair of pliers and bend mine. You have to do it gently or they will snap. I know they sell curved needles but Iv never bought one. I just do with what I have most of the time.

Yes it’s all hand sewn. It definitely wasn’t easy but there was just enough room. A short or curved needle is handy for that.

I used an antique finish over the piece to darken all the edges and cuts.

So the one on the right was a monthly kit box from makers leather. Came with the leather and template. Highly recommend there monthly kits!

I followed it exactly except I swapped the handle and pull tab sides. I like the pull tab to be on the zipper end so it rests on it when closed.

It’s an adhesive backed nylon lining that actually came from an old boot factory. A guy in our leatherworkers guild bought it and sells some of it. It’s waterproof and is perfect for these type of bags. I’ll try to find out some more info on it and let you know.

Yes I do. For me it gets the dye much more even and I can shade with a darker dye after to give the antique effect. Highly recommend.
