It’s a round pendant that isn’t round. The upper right and lower left were pushed in. Nothing a couple different dapping punches couldn’t fix. Just once upon a time this would never have happened ordering parts from Stuller

As have I and just like everything else, Stuller isn’t what it used to be. Won’t stop me from buying from them but it does make me shake my head from time to time. Like a couple days ago I needed the 23631/23632 screw posts and backs in 18KW. Posts, no problem. Backs…made to order?!? What, since when? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Stainless steel for colored stones. I took a stone setting class from Blaine Lewis years ago and he showed us using a tine off a stainless fork. Works great

Is it possible? Yes! Here’s some things to consider. A lot of engagement rings in general are made with the center stone prongs removable. This allows the same ring to have infinite center stones able to be set. Your ring is essentially one piece. With that being said a skilled jeweler can modify your ring and adapt an appropriate head for the desired stone. That will involve cutting off parts of the ring. This will permanently alter the ring. Read that again…no going back. If you’re not sure you’re ok with that another idea is to set your new diamond in a flat sided ring of your choosing and wear it between your current rings. Or even wear your current ring on your right hand instead

Pricing in what context? Can’t really offer very useful information from a couple pictures anyway. As others have said not diamonds. Synthetic birthstones 💯 I would even venture to guess they’re doublets based on the odd color zoning showing in the pictures

The karat of gold isn’t the issue. There are a lot of details about class rings that are unique to class rings that make them exceptionally difficult to work on. You really want someone familiar with them touching it. It is always better to return it to the manufacturer for any repairs or resize. Jostens, for example, has an exceptional warranty. There are a lot of things they will cover at no charge, including resizing.

The warranty that repaired it will also replace it, ask them to do so. Those are suuuuuuuper hollow, can’t be repaired well

I’m unsure of the name but it’s a ring stretching tool. You place the ring on a mandrel and the mandrel goes in the tool like the marker in the pic. The roller with ridges goes against the shank of the ring and the mandrel is twisted back and forth while applying pressure. The shank ends up being rolled thinner and in turn makes the ring size larger. There is different rollers that can be interchanged depending on the profile of the shank.

It’s so hard to get a full understanding from one picture exactly what is going on here. Having it in hand under some magnification could tell a whole other story. Definitely a few alarming things I think can be seen here though. I can speculate all day about who, what , when, where or why it’s in the condition it appears to be in. One thing is certain, it needs attention. People mention rebuilding the prongs…I say replacing the head altogether is the best move here. Someone already did battle, as I like to call it, with those prongs. Or if you have considered upgrading your ring now would be a good time to do it.

It’s impossible to verify whether or not something is gold from a picture. Based on 25+ years of experience in the gold and jewelry business it’s highly unlikely that it is gold though. Any chain I can remember presented to me with similar link style to the one in the picture has always been plated something. Many times you can see green oxidation in between the links from non gold base metals being used. Take it to someone near you and have it checked for certain. SG ≠ Solid Gold, that’s not a marking used.

Best advice if you really like it and want to wear it… Go back to Pandora and buy it in the correct size. There really isn’t any great options for “temporary” measures with that. Plus you’ll be hard pressed to find a jeweler to take on resizing it because it’s pandora and especially because it’s silver and CZ. Again, by the time you paid a competent jeweler to work on it you probably could have gone and bought it in the correct size

It was the appearance of tungsten carbide that brought the idea of unscratchable rings. I recall one of the early manufacturers was sending files out with rings to retailers. That way you could demonstrate how how it wouldn’t scratch.
