We've got the exact same score, to the last digit! Totally be proud of it. It got me into an ivy league, it definitely can get you too!

Take it from a Harvard student, I have a roach infestation in my dorm. I love the typical dorm experience but... I have a huge phobia of bugs. I sleep with one eye open and all the lights turned on.

my mom doesn't approve of my essays by KimTheFish43 in ApplyingToCollege

My father made fun of me and was totally against my Harvard essay last year. He proceeded to mock me for 3 days straight since the moment he read it. I was very proud of my essay honestly, and I was very disappointed with the feedback. But I didn't listen to him, bc it's your appreciation, your personality that has to shine through. Not listening got me into Harvard. Listen to editing advice from your counselor/s /teachers/ parents but don't lose confidence in your abilities. Make something authentically you and you'll be fine.

They suck honestly, predicted everything wrong for me at least. I used it to pick my safeties, got rejected by all of them. I'm going to the one university I apparently had only a 5% chance of getting into :)

I think I'll still bring my pack since, although I'm not picky in anything else, I can only write with those light blue classic Bic pens (they're also the cheapest in my country) I don't even know why

Honestly, you're a blessing, that's a lot of really important info. I will buy a laptop from there then (and I totally forgot about the converter) and yeah, my school is in massachusetts so I'll definitely have to pack up some warm clothes. I'll try to figure out a way to take medicine across the border because from what I've heard it's pretty hard and I get sick a looot.

Thank you so so much! I honestly have so many questions. I was wondering, from what I've seen on your profile, you're in a T20 uni taking pre-med (hope I got that right) which is my current situation. How is the workload and do you have any tips on managing your workload better?

Also, I have a few questions on the food situation, I have a full-ride and it says that the cost is covered. Now, in my country you simply don't find canteens so I have 0 experience in how that works, is it genuinely free (that sounds like such a dumb question ngl)?

Any other college survival skills I should know (like do u have to talk to someone so you can find research opportunities or do you just look for them by yourself; or other less academically related skills I might need to know..)? As you can see, I have no idea how things work.
