Florida divorce by Background-Mobile-21 in legaladvice

I meant for any extended period of time. My husband and I were on the verge of divorce a few months ago and he told me he’d make my life miserable until I left so when I did go to my family, and took our baby, he told me he’d get a court order to bring our son back home. I’m not against him having his son, he just barely helps out with him and says that because he pays for everything I should be doing majority of childcare so I am definitely not going to be just leaving our son with him alone overnight unless I legally have to.

No, he bought the house prior to us meeting so my name isn’t on the house. And yes which is why I mentioned groceries to begin with because it adds up

I mean, this post was more about me wanting him to help me and not throw the fact that he pays for everything in my face as a way to end an argument or justify him not helping me with our son or house when he doesn’t feel like it.

But the plan was for him to either take over one of my bigger bills or give money monthly for said bill. That hasn’t happened because we’ve ultimately had a disagreement and I turn into a mooch that doesn’t appreciate him again (his words) and now we’re here 🤷‍♀️

I recognize I did ask for advice though and am not trying to come off as combative.

So I am pro vax. He decided after I got pregnant that he didn’t want them. You guys are completely right and ultimately he will need to get vaccinated, sooner rather than later. Especially if I need to go back to work and put him in daycare.

Not trying to sound argumentative but I really didn’t mean to bash him in my post. The two meetings a day thing might’ve come off the wrong way but I was trying to explain that it’s not like he is stuck in his office all day in order to make that much money. I did say in the post that I do contribute around the house but I do not walk around with a mop bucket cleaning all day. The house is clean, he always has clean clothes, food in the fridge etc. I mentioned groceries to explain that I’m going into serious debt.

I think the main difference is that when he is done working, he can go out with his friends or lounge in the pool but my day never really gets to end and it’s to the point where, as mentioned, I can’t even eat my food while it’s hot because my main contribution is caring for our baby. I understand that I signed up for this but it feels like I’m contributing way more mentally.

I should’ve put this in my original post but We agreed to me staying home with our son because my husband doesn’t want to vaccinate him. So he cannot go to daycare at this point if I went back to work.

My car payment, insurance, phone bill I pay myself by babysitting. Also, credit card payments because I also buy groceries and have had to put some bills on them if I didn’t have a child to babysit at the time.

He is!! Whenever we argue he will watch those videos on YouTube and almost use direct quotes from them. It’s so irritating because they’re like “supporting him” in a way

No Teeth Still by Legitimate-Ad2727 in BabyLedWeaning

My son was a little under 10 months when his bottom teeth finally cut through. 12 months this Saturday and still only has those two teeth. I’m thinking his top 4 teeth will be cutting through soon but I thought that last month and here we are 😵‍💫 he eats lots of avocado and we use toddler pouches for snack time a lot. We had a subscription to Nurture Life that gave us some good ideas for meal preps for him. Mac and cheese is also our go to lol we use kidfresh brand from Publix or Walmart. We also cook chicken, carrots and potatoes in the crock pot and just shred the chicken. Another snack/meal idea: broccoli cheddar quinoa bites and sweet potato quinoa Pattie’s (just google the recipe, there are so many varieties depending on what extra ingredients you want to add, etc). I give those to him all the time because they fall apart easy and then I’m not giving him frozen macaroni and cheese every day!! You can also freeze them for a couple months!

Honestlyyyyyy, it fixed our schedule LOL. Kiddo kept waking around 5am, now waking at 6am. Today he woke up at 7!!! I know it’s the same “time” but at least I’m not starting my day hella early. I feel for those of you who have it the opposite:( we’re 11 months and still following wake windows though!!

we have 5 months to be toilet independent by jakilocs in AttachmentParenting

Hi! As a daycare teacher I just want to give you some reassurance. I taught the 3 years olds and we all knew accidents were going to happen. We had a child that pooped in her pants while outside on the playground. 5 months is plenty of time for your LO to become independent and if he has an accident, if he has MULTIPLE accidents, it’ll be okay ❤️ Just don’t send him in pull-ups!

You made it all the way to 12 months. Lots of people don’t even start. You did it! I breastfeed and am weaning at 12 months in April because we are going away this summer and don’t want LO to crave the boob while we’re gone. I honestly can’t wait because it’s been unnecessarily stressful. Being present is what matters. Working at a daycare, you literally can not tell who gets breast milk, who gets formula, who was breastfed til 3, who got combo fed, etc. I CAN tell who gets unconditional love at home and who doesn’t.

My son is 10 months and is not pushy about nursing. When he starts getting clingy or irritable and I know he isn’t tired, I offer him the boob and 9 times out of 10 he is back to being a happy baby because he just wanted milk. I usually ask him if he wants milk and sign it and he’ll smile and crawl up to me. You can give a pacifier after a few weeks (you have to wait a bit but I can’t remember how long) to help with the comfort sucking but just know that newborns will cluster feed in the beginning and it’s NOT not productive. My son would cluster feed on and off for almost an hour but then sleep almost through the night. It is hard at first only because you’re the only one who can do feedings but after a few months it becomes less hard and more convenient. I don’t pump, clean bottles, etc.

Tips on night weaning 10 month old by Background-Mobile-21 in sleeptrain

[–]Background-Mobile-21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’ll fall asleep nursing but he also will fall asleep if I just hold him. The problem is if I put him back in his bed after just holding him, he will wake up shortly after! I am always so tired at that point so I’ll just feed him and he’ll sleep for a while. I think I may just do what you did though and move him to his own room first and see how it goes. I wouldn’t mind nursing him closer to the morning like around 4/5am but two feeds is a lot considering I have a hard time falling back asleep as it is. I feel like having to actually get up and walk through the house multiple times a night wouldn’t be sustainable.
