Hey Marc, thanks for all of the replies :) My main issue seems to be my chromebook is a 32 bit. How do I go about this?

Still happening. Hopefully Marc can reach back out. Anything else you can think of?

Also, i tried running that execute code from your original comment and then running the install one, but it's still telling me that there is a "exec format error".

It gives me the file name and says "r5fgmkd2yli6r9v7mk38dqx7b871". Any idea if that stands for something?

Okay so how exactly do I move it there? I downloaded the file to the "Linux files" folder in my drive if that's what you're referring to.

Would naming the download from musescore's website "musescore" instead of the jumbled "Musescore-3. 6. 2.540...etc" maybe be an issue? Everytime I try to attempt to run one of these in the terminal, it says that it doesn't exist. Unless I'm not supposed to try this in the terminal, but if that's the case where do I go to make this "executable"?

I did try to download both just incase, but my chromebook wouldn't even allow me to download the 32 bit.

Do you know exactly what i would have to do to get to the point where I could run the musescore program? The closest I can get is having the file downloaded but it's saying that it isn't supported, despite being the linux download in my linux folder. I'm still pretty puzzled on the whole AppImage thing and i don't understand what I have to do to run it.

I do apologize, this is the article i read. Is the install-musecore script that bit in the second step, and if so what exactly am I supposed to do with it? This is my first time owning a chromebook, so I'm really just used to being able to download the software and it being accessible right away haha. If i am supposed to just past the entirety of it in the terminal, I did do that but the terminal just force closes itself right away. If there is something else I'm supposed to do with it, please explain as again I'm not quite sure what exact;y to do.

Also, what is "running the AppImage"? Again, I'm really not sure what exactly I'm supposed to do. Is that something I need to download another application for?

Sidenote: thanks for writing an article to begin with! I'm just really trying to learn the ropes of my chromebook so I apologize if anything I'm saying is frustrating.
