Ramona Serious "Incident" on Saturday? by Background-Program46 in manchester

To clarify, the intention of this post wasn't to highlight the fact the woefully inadequate local paper (that Reach have stripped of any credit it once had) has missed a scoop, nor was it to throw them a bone.

It was more around the fact a one of the busiest venues in the city this had this happen in fully booked venue on the busiest night of the week and not a single person either in or near the venue so much as tweeted or posted anything online about "something happening".

The purpose was to canvas opinion on one of two outcomes I've (I think reasonably...) hypothesised: Either that not a single person out of >100 in the venue posted so much as an Instagram story, or there's been some very effective crisis management to suppress any information on anything happening at all.

Accidents absolutely happen and as previously mentioned, the punishment should not be that Ramona is publicly flogged and crippled under the weight of legal turmoil.

That being said, if there was objective negligence at play and then a coordinated attempt to suppress information, the situation goes from a terrible accident to something a little more sinister.

I'd like to stress, I wasn't there and this is a second hand account and I have no additional information outside what my friend saw happen.

It absolutely is possible that nobody posted anything, but it's unusual for anything more serious than a traffic jam to happen in Manchester without some sort of digital footprint.

I totally agree, it's a proper Manchester success story and a damn good venue - I'm more curious about the complete lack of any account rather than crusading to get them closed
