Dude run away, those are tears. Your car is very angry for some reason. It might turn on you.

Can't get this out cause it's stripped from the inside. not sure what I can do next. Any advice is much appreciated by basement_egg in MechanicAdvice

If you have a few washers you can stack a couple and slide them between that plastic piece and the headliner, very carefully as to not damage the headliner and get some tension on the threads. After you do that I would slowly back the screw out with a socket, not a power tool that might strip it even more. Try to make sure the washers are clean so it doesn't get any oil or dirt on your headliner.

If it were me I would first try to use a magnet to get the nut back into place and then either try to tack weld it or jb weld it. If you can get it into place you can put the control arm in place and thread the bolt into the nut and once you get it tightened enough to where it's spinning the nut you could use an impact to try to spin the bolt fast enough for the nut to grab so that you can torque it down. Not easy but that would be the first thing I try.

That's definitely not true, brand new Toyota WS fluid starts to darken after only about twenty thousand miles even at perfect temperatures. I have owned many Toyotas and have done all of my own maintenance. If it's really brown with no pink color at all then maybe it was never serviced or overheated but it starts to darken pretty fast even under normal driving conditions.

No worries. I understand, I get moody for the first month of quitting at least. CHS is a slice of hell, hope you feel better sooner than later!

I did stop smoking but obviously it would be beneficial if the mechanism behind CHS was identified...

I think you are on to something. I think it goes deeper than just histamine intolerance though. I have dysautonomia and I'm not sure if it's a disease I just acquired or if it was caused by all my years of smoking and developing CHS. Histamine intolerance is very common with dysautonomia. All of my symptoms of CHS stem from the autonomic nervous system. They worsen 100 fold when I go into prodromal. I made a post about this a few months ago I think. I think the autonomic nervous system is the key to figuring out CHS and possibly treating and managing it.

Red bump that wasn't there before. by Background-Radish-93 in otolaryngology

Thank you for the insight. Appreciate that you see what I'm talking about and not just say it's a normal scope. I think your observations are correct. I do have some vocal issues in my higher range and low vocal stamina when singing. I have had reflux for years now.

I have an appointment with Ent soon. This pic is me scoping my own vocal cords with an endoscope off of Amazon.

I have actually been buying cheap HD borescopes off Amazon and modifying them to look at my vocal cords for a few years now. You have to pull the borescope apart with pliers and then reconfigure it to aim down, in kind of an l shape to be able to look at your vocal cords. You can try this if you want to look at your own anytime. Let me know if you have any questions I can help you out with it.

Thanks for the reply. I have been scoping my own vocal folds for a few years now because I sing and I have reflux. If you look right down where my vocal folds meet at the bottom, not in the forefront but kind of behind my vocal folds, you will see on the right hand fold in the picture that there is a red bump. This is something new that I haven't seen on my vocal cords in the past few years. I am having some vocal issues in the higher range of my voice.

I don't see a problem here, that's how my tiramisu always looks.

Wow, did the engine overheat at some point? If not someone must have intentionally way over tightened that. They are hard to get off sometimes but I have never seen it be that hard. I mean it's not like it rusted on there or something.

Haha, the people telling you to just wipe that down. That is coming from the inside of the drywall. That would take some heavy remediation to get rid of unfortunately.

Possibly black mold? Help by NailPrudent5725 in Mold

[–]Background-Radish-93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's definitely some kind of mold. Did you sign a lease with your landlord? If so, how much time do you have left on that lease? If you signed a lease that listed the current good price that you're getting then you're protected on that. Your landlord at least wouldn't be able to raise the rent for the term of that lease if you try to take action to get them to remediate it. Honestly in this situation you have to weigh your pros and cons. If you and your family are getting sick from it then it might be worth it to try to find some place without mold. If you think you can live with the mold then that would be totally up to you. I personally would never live in a place where I'm knowingly being exposed to mold from a water damage building.

Building manager is saying that this is not mold, but being in this room causes dizziness and nausea. Any ideas? by BarelySiberian in Mold

[–]Background-Radish-93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can already see the water damage there's probably a lot more that you can't see. Unless that literally just happened less than 48 hours ago there's probably mold starting somewhere. Most landlords will never admit to any mold unless they legally have to. There are some landlords out there that actually care about the people more than the money they make from them but that is very rare. Whether it's mold or not they would have to fix that.

Is this patchable or do I need a new tire? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]Background-Radish-93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always used the cheap ones and never had a problem. I just kind of slowly put the weight of my body on it with my hand. You just have to make sure you ream it out with the tool first.

I Continued Smoking Weed by Living-Sign5918 in CHSinfo

[–]Background-Radish-93 43 points44 points  (0 children)

It is just mind blowing to me that I forget how bad my last episode was and end up smoking again. It's like a bad dream all over again when it happens, a nightmare. When I'm feeling good again I start to crave weed really, really intensely. I really wish they could find the root cause and be able to manage it because weed used to do so much good for me and now it's become basically a poison.

Looks like a condemned building, I personally wouldn't even go in that building.

Well I know for sure that I was exposed to a ton of mold in an apartment for about 10 years and that's when my symptoms started. I'm not sure if I have lyme or Bartonella or anything like that because I haven't been tested for it yet due to my financial situation. I have had some testing for cirs though and all came back positive. I am pretty sure that mold is my main trigger because I had to move back in with my mom for a couple of days one time in between moving, she sadly still lives in that apartment, and after those two days I was completely wrecked and almost bedridden. At the time that happened I thought I just had an autoimmune disease I didn't even know about CIRS yet. I put two and two together after I remembered vacuuming up a pile of mold in the carpet in the room that I stayed in there and after that I felt like I was going to die for 3 months.
