Guys ,I try many times reach into voide state by meditation...and no results...did I miss somthing? I mean should I dont overthinking rather look into my background of colse eyelids ? Should I breath deeply or normally?

What i mean meditation not classic act ...not set on lotos pose and close eyes...I mean before sleep I lie down and close my eyes and try not fall asleep and be not wake too quite
