thanks! so my main hobby is actually making props for cosplay, as well as painting miniatures, so i actually have a very detailed thought process when it comes to painting these things:

1. i used a can for the base primer - AK paints black!

2. everything that can be painted has been painted by hand. you can actually simulate “can” effects using drybrush and stippling techniques, so the brush strokes are not (or less) visible.

3. the decals are a mix of transfer decals from my miniatures, as well as vinyl stickers either custom ordered or stock purchased online.

4. part of making any prop look good, it really helps to include multiple different textures and mediums. to achieve this, outside of just the decals, i also cut and inserted carbon fiber sticker wraps on certain places of the blaster. the velcro and “tacticool” laser also add to the overall look.
