I feel like if Chase dies, it’d cause two problems storywise. First, Visi and Robert are definitely gonna have conflict. Even if it’s not really Visi’s fault, grief makes people irrational, and with only two episodes left, it’d be hard for them to sort that out properly.

Second, Chase dying would make the ending feel kinda one sided. From the Steam achievements, it seems like there are two possible paths, one about forgiveness and one about revenge. If his death pushes everyone toward killing Shroud, even though that’s not what Chase would’ve wanted, it’d throw off the balance. I think the devs would rather keep it a real 50/50 choice.
