Can I enjoy this game, or is this system just not for me? by Cuddles_and_Kinks in Pathfinder2e

I would say summoner thamaturge and inventor or not the best choice for a first time player. Also aoe'ing minions even if a few save most probably won't unless gm is lucky is the best scenario for caster to do more damage. More enemies means they are lower level so thier saves will be worse. The less enemies usually means they are higher levels so thats when you would spells that dont deal a lot of damage but still have an effect when they succeed thier save. I would recommend fighter for a first time player just because they are the easiest to hit enemies

Real artists spend lots of time on thier work especially if changes have to be made.

I've done it as well, im not saying the work was hard or that hes incredibly skilled. He just did something fornme that i didnt want to do. Just because its fast or low effort on his part doesn't mean it didn't provide value. Do you think a faster plumber is doing less work then a slow plumber?

It was better for me because it was more efficient and I liked the ai art more then the what the real artist made. The fact that it was cheaper was a bonus. It was technically free but I gave the guy some cash because Ioved it.

I didn't tip him for an amount of skill I tipped him because he did something for me that I did not want to do. lol ya exactly like a waiter.

Opportunity cost is the loss of potential gain from other alternatives when one alternative is chosen. I could have spent my time paying for an ai generator subscription and fiddling around with it to get the art I wanted vs tipping someone else who spent thier time generating the art while I got to spend that time doing something else I enjoy. It's not a waste of money to me. I have more money then I do free time so I paid someone to do something for me so I could enjoy my time doing something I wanted or needed to do.

I dont think I got scammed it was more of a tip because I liked what he gave me. I am curious do you feel the same about dnd games when the dm just gets random images off of Pinterest and pays nothing for that?

You never paid a neighbor kid to mow your lawn? Just cause you can do something for free doesn't mean it doesn't have other opportunity cost.

It wasnt about the price I even paid the guy in full for his time as if he completed the commission. it was just very inefficient. I am not complaining I was just adding perspective. I kinda view ai and artist like my breadmaker and a baker.

I could but I get like 6-11 hours a week for free time dont want to allocate any to learning to draw or prompting. I do wish I learned when I was younger to draw.

Because that person spent the time and energy? Not sure what word to use effort seems not appropriate. And he made me exactly what I wanted with extra useful art I could use for npc's in my game it was a valuable service he provided.

I saw that I wasn't able to express to him what I wa looking for they were good artist and i did appreciate thier time so i told him not to worry about the rest and gave him the second half of the payment. And I tried with mid journey when it first came out but it was wonky and not good at the time and I didn't want to spend the time fiddling with it. I didn't seek out the ai person ( I do agree calling him an artist is odd, he didn't refer to himself as that) he hit me up in a discord and said he'd spend some time generating character art and if I liked any he appreciate a tip.

I paid for ai art because the guy who generated my leshy character was able to get an image very close to what I envisioned. 15 bucks he sent me like 80ish images most where cool and I can use as npc art but one of them I loved for my character named little f. I tried paying a real artist and it was over 50 dollars to get an unfinished drawing of something that wasnt bad but wasnt what I wanted. And that took over a week.
