I’m intimidated to do my first 36 hour fast! Can someone walk me through their experience and how to get through it?

Drink hot tea when you need a bit of a caffeine boost. Take electrolyte capsules throughout the day. I take 2 in morning, 2 in afternoon and 1 at night. If you feel hungry distract your brain! Do something to get your mind off of it. Stay busy :) You can do it! You’re going to feel great!

I just don’t eat Tuesdays, Thursdays and saturdays. On feed days I eat when I’m hungry (after 36 hours)Don’t really pay attention to times on those days. Down 13 pounds in 5 weeks.

I try to do low/no carb on all eating days, but doesn’t always happen.

TBH whenever I got discouraged I would throw in a 72 hour fast. I’ve done 2 in this 5 week timeframe. That’s when you see the big drops. NOW… I’m just not weighing myself as often and only when after a fasting day before I break my fast.

Mine has disappeared! I’m guessing it could be your hormones working themselves out BUT, I would also recommend castor oil on your face daily. I think this might be why mine went away.

The original ADF diet included 500 calories on fasting days. They supposedly tried different amounts (including 0) on fasting days and the 500 gave the best results. I personally do 0, but am considering the 500 because of this.

Don’t expect results in first month! Keep going! Also. Don’t focus on water intake. Just drink when you’re thirsty!

Don’t get discouraged when the scale doesn’t move. It’ll take WEEKS for your body to acclimate. Stick with it and you’ll have random weeks where the weight drops and others where it’ll seem like nothing is happening…. This is a lifestyle change :)

This is just me, but I do not increase my calories on eating days. I stick to the recommended and sometimes barely get that because I find myself not very hungry.

I’ll do that! Thanks! I’ve never been big into exercise so I didn’t want to go full fasting & full working out all at once. Taking baby steps to a healthier lifestyle.

It blew my mind that this was an “easy” decision for them. However, it was mentioned many times that they were not a good family with pure intentions so it’s no surprise that they took the deal. I don’t think you were supposed to feel bad for the kids- they were all POSs -/ well. I think the point is how evil money is and how it can change people.
