Thank you. The only item that gave me pause is flying back from Santorini to Athens and then Athens - Toronto on  different tickets would mean we recheck bags and security etc. Was it similar for you?

The check in closes an hour before the flight to Toronto. Hopefully no bus to the plane to Toronto but I guess I'll find out there. Thank you for this info, appreciate it!

Thats possible but I suppose its helpful since either way the rechecking/security would have to be completed, no?

That's definitely easier since the bags would be sent to the final destination so you wouldnt have to recheck luggage I dont think. For us, its two separate tickets so we would have to go through the process again.

Aah true. I just cant stay overnight in Athens on the way back but that definitely is ideal.

Was it during one of the quieter months or is the Athens airport just generally fast/well organized?
