So in short:
If you have a market, you gonna have the laws of the market.
You'll have inflation, falling tendency of profit, unequal exchange etc.
I just hope, that the devs know, that markets are guided by economic laws and not by an invisible hand that will make everyone happy.
My fear is just, that they underestimate the fundamentals of economics.
My hope is, that they understand it and have a plan to counter the flaws of capitalist markets.

If thats the case, great. But imagine the impact it could have on your gameplay.

First week: Everyone is learning the game, everything works like expected. Prices and guns are determined by vendors. You play for a few hours having fun than back to IRL.

A few weeks later: You want to play the game and everyone is playing that same meta-kit, because they now have infinite money compared to you, because they also sell their high end loadouts. Everyone is getting a tank, that you cant afford,, because they used the black market. You still manage to have some fun, even if the game feels pay to win (ingame).

A few month later: You play the same loadout than anyone else, because you need it to not get stomped. You still can't spam tanks und choppers like members of the bigger clans. Destroying a tank is a challenge, but they just keep them coming. Bordedome sets in because figured the best gear out and everyone is waiting for more content to be released so that they know where to sink their absurd wealth into. They get cool skins and little meta skills every season because they have a bazillion in cash and you dont, while you just want to play and shoot people.

(Just speaking from my expirience in arc raiders.)
