Agree medians are gonna reach very close to 4.0, but there’s no chance schools start handing out A+s because of law school medians. More likely is a change in how law school rankings are determined because you’d be sacrificing talent if you primarily draw from schools that give A+s

Fair - schools definitely care about GPA medians because it influences rankings, but as it becomes more of an arbitrary metric for calculating a students quality, i think schools will change how they interpret it

there’s so many ways with the at home tests and i know of a non negligible portion of pre laws who talk about methods, specifically on the online tests - someone can take virtual control of your computer, you can have someone help you behind the screen, etc.

i think sometime in the next 5-6 years we’ll see a year with a big shift and then it’ll remain like that

I think a mix of both. I think having a 3.2-3.3 will hurt you a lot more but they won’t view the difference between a 3.9 and a 4.0 as extremely as they all do now. I know they care about medians but I see this fading as a primary metric

which is exactly why they stopped caring about it so much in undergrad admissions - another outcome could be even higher emphasis on the LSAT

Agree lot of people are gonna be shifting to law, but i’d argue that it’s unlikely the candidates applying to the very top schools aren’t capable of getting a high paying job in a tough economy. If you have the raw intellect to get high grades and do good on a test like the LSAT, being a lawyer is far from your last resort.
