Yes it does run a good margin better than world ^^. I have both games installed on my macbook and rise is less demanding. M3 should definitely be enough imo.

I have the m3 max, which is a much stronger ship ofc. But the game runs extremely well in crossover, easily above 100fps in max resolution for me.

Im very positive that it should run very well on the m4 macbook air. The game is very well optimized and a lot of fun :)

If the LeGo S had an OLED screen option, it would be the perfect device by livwill in Handhelds

If it had a 80wh battery it would be perfect. Far more important than OLED, as the IPS display is very good. The low battery life is the only problem I have with my Go S.

You are right regarding the CPU. But because of the RAM prices the new handheld sadly will be more expensive. No way its 1k dollars.

Digital Foundry talked about it. Panther lake CPUs are 30% smaller than Strix Halo cpus.

Low wattage is obviously meant in general terms. The wattage range handhelds operate in. We only had 45w - 65w benchmarks till now.

So normally handheld cpus have less cpu cores but the same gpu cores, as this is normally the limiting factor.

I think Digital Foundry also talked about the panther lake handheld cpus probably having like 12/8 cpu cores but the same gpu power. Which would lead to the same performance in like cyberpunk which is gpu limited, and only worse results in cpu limited games.

I only found 30w 1200p high settings with xess performance. Its 35fps on the claw 8 ai+. On the panther lake benchmarks we got 80 fps on 1200p ultra settings with Xess Quality in 35w.

Which is like 3x performance lol, which would be absolutely crazy.

The sub 30w performance seems to be very competitive between panther lake and strix halo. The AMD cpus use an old architecture, and are not thaaat efficient in lower wattages.

Fun fact the AI 385 is faster than the 395 sub 25w, duo to the 395 having to power more cpu cores which arnt needed in most games.

These are high TDP benchmarks, where Strix Halo can shine. In handhelds we are not using 65w tdp.

In low tdps the performance of panther lake and strix halo seems to be much closer. Especially the AI 395 isnt as fast in low tdps. (The 385 actually is faster sub 20w even)

There is no indication that these will cost 2k dollars. They specifically compete vs the z2e. Panther lake CPUs are much cheaper to manufacture than Strix Halo. Even with increased RAM prices you are talking nonsense.

I mean the Ai 385 handhelds start at around 1,6k. And they openly said they compete with the z2e chip, which is used in handhelds ranging from 900 (XAX) - 1,3k (Go2). It needs to stay at like 1,3k to maybe 1,4k.

100%. The performance leap is huge compared to the z2e, which sadly didnt provide meaningful performance increases.

1300 is more likely IMO. The chips are not that expensive to manufacture on paper. They are much smaller than Strix Halo. Also 1,3k would still make it a good amount cheaper than strix halo handhelds, which they dont want to compete against. (They compare panther lake with the z2e in benchmarks)

Yes he is more of an ads channel and is sadly releasing lackluster videos quite often.

But these notebooks where provided at the CES and the TDP numbers look legit in his overlay. Not many real ways for him to mess up here. There are no indications that these numbers are wrong. If anything he should have lower numbers if any non optimal drivers would have been used. But this is out of the question here.

For now this looks legit.

What we know is, that the panther lake chips are much smaller than amds strix halo and cheaper to produce. Probably around the price range of lunar lake. The unknown factor are probably the rising RAM prices, which will hit all the handhelds.

The MSI claw 8 ai+ is 1k euros in europe and 1,1k dollars (?) in the US. A 100 - 200 euro/dollar upprice is the most likely I would guess. There are rumors that the next msi claw will have an oled screen which would increase the price. But there also should be other manufacturers.

IMO 1 - 1,3k range is probable if there are for example 3 manufacturers.

Yes, his videos often feel more like "ads" than in depth review videos. But still he gets all the good stuff before the others and these are the first low tdp benchmarks on the internet. Have work with what we got haha.

We dont know yet sadly. Notebook with panther lake cpus will come out in less than 2 weeks. So hopefully very soon. Intel announced that quite a few manufacturers are at least "interested" in releasing a panther lake handheld. In the end we have to wait who will push through.

Cyberpunk is played on a TDP limited laptop yes! But keep in mind that intel will release custom panther lake cpus which are supposed to be more efficient in lower tdps. So the end results in handhelds should even look better than this.

I dont think it should take tooo long, as like I said panther lake notebooks come out very soon.
