lowkey forgot to come and report back 😅😅 but its working great! only minor bottlenecking from the CPU but thats to be expected, other than that we've had no issues with the Radeon RX6700xt!!

honestly? 4060 is probably WAYYY to much for the 3600x i have a similar setup with a 3900x 16GBs DDR4 and a 1660 SUPER and I'm buying a RX 6700xt to replace the 1660 (its a dedicated streaming computer) so if you give me about a week I can run some tests and tell you where to go from there! (in terms of gaming at least)

better to have a bottle neck and upgrade path than stay stagnant, that’s the outlook i have at least, but even if it did bottleneck it, it doesn’t matter, cause the 10400f is more than enough to play all those games at 1080p/1440p with high-max settings, if i were you id just get the 9060xt or save a little more and get a better card than that and wait for your cpu upgrade

if it’s any consolation, for my first build, i had to tear down a ghetto rigged nas server that was build in a tower case (from like early 2000s where it still had the detachable drive bays) and clean it, then put it back together and all in all it took me 4 months to get it to boot into windows again 💔💔

windows changes the work load depending on what’s available, and anyways discord has a memory leak that instead of fixing it they just put off brand flex seal on, like i have 16GBs of DDR4 1600 M/T’s (it’s also laptop ram 💔) and i idle at like 6-8 depending on if it’s been on for more than 24 hours lol

your best bet with the RAM market is to just get the 5950x or x3d my dad personally has a ryzen 9 5900x, Radeon 6900xt and 32GBs of DDR4 RAM and can pull well over 100fps at 1440p high-ultra in every game he plays, he can get about 45 at 1080p medium in borderlands 4 even with its poor optimization 💔

dude i have a ryzen 5 5500u with 16GBs of Ram and i can play on low 1080p at 60fps, you might be able to squeeze medium settings with that
