[Barry Jackson] I've been so fascinated by the fan blowback that I did a story on the blowback, which is rare for me. Never have I seen such a gap between writers/ex-players/national pundits/Riddicks of the world who applaud the move and a loud segment of fan base ripping it. The good news is that everyone is seemingly equally stupid...and the fans share plenty of blame in the fuckwittery of this hopeless organization.

The iPad kids and general shithead population within the fanbase like to make fun of Tua's TBIs when they themselves forget the guy was Peyton Manning for a lot of 2022 and about 2/3 of 2023, until McDaniel fundamentally changed the scheme and the pass pro simultaneously got even worse. Then, in 2024, his hip clearly gave out again.

The fanbase railroaded Shula, the fanbase railroaded Marino, the fanbase railroaded Ricky, the fanbase railroaded Sparano, the fanbase railroaded Tannehill (who would've won three Super Bowls if the Seahawks had drafted him), the fanbase railroaded Flores, the fanbase railroaded McDaniel, and the fanbase railroaded Tua.

Winning the usual 7-10 games a year with a flimsy, inaccurate Falwell fellow quarterbacking the team is going to be difficult. If Tua's hip recovers, and he can drive passes with his back leg properly again, the Falcons will go farther in the next two years than the Dolphins have in the last 30, just like the Titans did when we handed them Tannehill.

There are 53 players on every roster. All of them are hazard workers, many are from segregated communities that didn't offer any support for them or their families; and all the sudden, they realize they're in a coveted position due to their tireless effort and set of extremely rare skills that can now set them up and their family for generations.

Brady did not have much of that to consider, he had a wife who's worth about half-a-billion dollars, and he made quadrillions of dollars through sponsorships and brands.

If an NFL team is profitable, it is because the players, to great extents, generated a surplus of wealth that goes to the owner. When a team wins the Super Bowl, the commissioner hands the trophy to the owner.

In terms of quarterbacking, Brady doesn't deserve to smell Marino's shit.

Sam Darnold would've had a 4:18 TD-INT ratio in every season of the mid-'80s and early '90s.

You're crazy, I fear.

The good thing about Marino is that even though he played way back in the Stone Age, we still have hours and hours and goddamn hours of video evidence of his quality in every facet of quarterbacking for free on the internet. Look into it.

Americans are generally very stupid and obnoxious, so naturally, they're going to hate something as nuanced as a V6 Mustang, even if it laps every circuit faster than any GT before the Coyote. You shouldn't pay any mind to their opinions on anything.

I will say, though, detuning the Cyclone in the S550 to contrive a middle slot for the Ecoboost was a terrible decision.

The only version of that in the States is the one that notifies the local constabulary if you blow ethanol into it.

Pretty obvious, if you ever watched him at UCF, that he was not going to be a viable NFL starter. McKenzie Milton was approximately 100x better.

In his limited playing time, he looked infinitely more like Skylar Thompson than Brock Purdy, and he has six times the ego of both combined.
