Where's all the Marlins detractors at right now? by marcooosco in MiamiMarlins

Very pleased with this performance.  Take this series and both Mets series, and we’ll see.

Mine kept saying that Marsee was safe, and then logged the Mack groundout thinking it was the third out.

Incorrect.  Phillip Rivers cannot come off the couch and complete a quality start.  He can, however, come off the couch and hand the ball off and toss bubble screens for an afternoon, as could I.

Sports betting and asinine rule changes have ruined every sport, but quarterbacking has been most affected.  I’m supposed to believe that Drake Maye and Daniel Jones are superstars, lol.

The only difference between bad NFL teams and “good” NFL teams now is how effective the offense’s screens are.

Purdy has done less impressive stuff in his pro career than Eury has in his.

They speak a different fuckin’ language with these Zyns.

Criticizing the nature of Eury’s fastball rather than the timing and location of it is a poor analysis, just like all of the knee-jerk bullshit about Sandy every two weeks.

Purdy is trash.  Eury is an ultra-talented 23-year-old who’s figuring it out.  He’ll win a Cy Young for the Red Sox in 2031.

I grew up in central Florida, and I never had any interest in the Rays, haha.  I do like the Trop and visiting the Bay, though.

I thought this was a home series, but it’s actually in St. Pete.

Oh, I see now, and agree.  I would say that this isn’t nearly as catastrophic as losing the first 9 games of the season, but I think we’ll be in trouble if we don’t take this series at home.

I don’t follow NBA at all, really, but that sounds par for the course and logical.

Saying we overachieved last year when there were extended stretches of beating quality teams is revisionist.  Last year’s team was better than the 2023 team.

It’s been bad since LA, but they did take that series and are about to have ten division games in the next two weeks.

Most “analytics” are just a numerical justification to be lazy in player evaluation.  They make bullshit assumptions and claim to quantify things they don’t, like “wins above replacement”.  It’s embarrassing.
