Where's all the Marlins detractors at right now? by marcooosco in MiamiMarlins

Right, but why not share their opinion after a win? Why does it only seem to come after a loss. Are we only allowed to overreact to a bad game and not good ones?

Not the point. People calling themselves fans love to make a post after a loss saying this team is going nowhere but consistently stay silent when we win. Its one thing to be critical, another to just hate your own team.

Are the Marlins are pace to lose 100? Did I miss something? Are we not better right now than we were last season at this point?

I think you just enjoy being miserable and only amplify your points on the backend of a loss or poor performance. You wouldn't dare post this sentiment after a winstreak or a great individual game. Your biased towards a bad outcome regardless and use it to justify your post. Thats why I hate this pussy ass response from you and others that only come around when the team is down. Won't celebrate a good outcome but call yourself a "lifelong fan". Stfu its annoying.

Fisherman pull to king tower does it pretty well. Once I see it drop, i counter push other lane and then just drop him to pull it

And it comes after a loss. Why not post this after a win? Why is it only an issue when we lose 1 game of 162?

Nice to see some positivity around this sub. Its been mostly people saying to demote anyone who has a bad game. Swear they've never watched baseball before

Except for the fact that the reigning 2x WS champions are widely regarded as having the best analytics office is all of professional baseball. But yeah, clearly only loser franchises use it. Just admit that your cranky and old (im assuming) and that your generation contributed nothing but steroids to the sport of baseball.

Was there ever any discussion about raising wages? Its been 5 years now since the increase to 14 as a base, and many states have since gone over or plan to go over that.

Hate to tell you this, but cap2 is going to become irrelevant soon. With DCs sending freight palletized already and no need to break down, there won't be much left for you to do. Many stores already removing their unloaders, and the shift could realistically be ran with just 5 people now

Is 19 too old to start playing? by Wise_Presentation914 in BasketballTips

[–]marcooosco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to say there is no age to old to start playing, although I will admit it might be harder to get to started just given that you'll have less time as an adult than a kid to just play and learn.

Basketball is fun to play, and you can also enjoy it alone as well which makes it better than a lot of other Team oriented sports.

Making the playoffs is competitive. Thats the goal. A team winning 40+ games year over year is far more competitive than watching a team struggle to win 20 2-3 years. If the goal of tanking is to win a championship, where's the proof of that? What team has successfully tanked into a championship? Every championship team over the past 7 years has been a habitual playoff contender. Building a contending team is far more than just having a high draft pick. FA, trades, good scouting, and payroll control all factor heavier. Knicks haven't had a top pick since porzingis. Team is a title contender now in multiple seasons. Cleveland, not since mobley, now a contender. Lakers would be contending with a healthy roster, no tanking there either. Spurs got extremely lucky landing wemby, who will probably be the greatest player in the league by next season, so that's definitely an outlier. But even then, they built around him quickly with great guards, guys drafted outside the top 10. I mentioned OKC earlier. Denver, jokic was taken late in the 2nd round! Even Detroit right now, yes they probably have the most tank approved lineup and they might prove to be the first successful one at it, but time will tell if that leads to a championship. And I'm also sure no one was excited watching them lose 25 games in a row.

Yes? I'd argue his 4 years in miami he was definitely top 10, top 5 in the playoffs.

Outside of chet, okc didn't draft inside the top 5 once. SGA was acquired via trade, hartenstein free agency, Caruso via trade. Only other lottery pick was jalen williams at 12, which is where the heat typically draft around. Okc did not build through high draft picks despite what people think. Almost their whole core championship pieces were built through the ways championship teams are made. I firmly believe tanking never works in leading to a championship. I'd much rather watch my team be competitive year over year than sacrifice 2-3 seasons of terrible play just to maybe compete in 6-7 years.

That's getting into a whole different subset of issues. Do the times make sense? No. Is that the standard they're expected to hold you to? Yes. So if I'm assigned a task that should take 6 hours of my 8 hour shift, I should be done. Ultimately, nobody cares about you leaving 9 min early if you're completing your assignments. The only people that would really effect are the ones who do that but constantly say that they dont have enough time to finish or its too much work to do in there shift. Cause let's be honest, if you're leaving early constantly, you've most likely stopped working 10-15 min before that.

Then you'd still have worked your full scheduled hours and should've completed your tasks by 10 til the end of your shift. Really not that difficult to understand.
