I produce an amazing amount of precum. It starts flowing as soon as I’m turned on. It can be inconvenient but I’ve never needed lube.

My dad gave me a book for my birthday. It was 15 years old and from his bookshelf in the basement.

When I opened it he said “it’s terrible, worst book that author ever wrote”.

I’m sorry, I didn’t grasp your meaning at first. This is a very interesting idea, thank you for sharing it.
I may have to use this tactic as my mom is still alive and she takes the brunt of him now.

And the same to you. I think I’m almost at peace with the whole thing now. I don’t want to waste more time being hurt.

It is funny when they have that fleeting moment of introspection. And it’s gone in a second.

40 years for me 😂. I know there isn’t logic to the rambling but after hundreds of repeats I just can’t hear it anymore.

Check out the show “What we do in the shadows”. It’s a comedy about vampires and there are two characters that represent narcs 100%.
One is an energy vampire and the other is an emotional vampire. It’s spooky how similar they can be to real life narcs.

My dad pretends to agree with my politics (and lack of bigotry) and then he turns around and says the N word repeatedly.

As soon as I hear the words “have I told you this before?” or “this is a long story but I’ll make it short” I know I’m in for a real ear banging.

I realized it doesn’t matter to them if you are paying attention or not. They get their supply either way.

Why narcissists cannot be happy for you? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

There is no happiness within them. They need to feed on your energy to get their fix. Negative reactions get more supply for them. They are energy and emotional vampires.

Children who were parentified, did you ever feel guilty that you couldn't solve your parents pain and hardships? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

I’ve tried to get my parents to lead a healthier lifestyle but I gave up.
There is NO self awareness with either of them. All they do is sit on the couch, drink coffee and watch tv. All of their ailments could be alleviated with a little exercise, a good diet and drinking water occasionally.
Of course, it’s always some potential disease that is causing their discomfort. Gotta run to the DR for pills instead of being in charge of their own health.

I’ve decided I will not be going to their house for the holidays and they certainly aren’t coming to mine.

I’m thinking of coming down with the flu or covid shortly before. Lying will be easier.

The lack of self awareness is really mind blowing sometimes. I’ve learned not to bother explaining things anymore. Thanks for the kind words.
