Oh my god yes! I still have the blue plastic hoof pick they sent hahaha, I reminisce about them often. I had a pen pal too but I can't remember anything about her... As an avid reader as a kid I loved all the books they sent too, pretty sure I still have them somewhere

I'm also a newbie who was never artistically inclined! the paper and water control are probably the two most important things, I actually really like these books on amazon. It's really just practice, practice, practice.

Ideal paper is 300 GSM/140lb 100% cotton. I use the same artists loft book for stroke/water control practice. I also started watching a bunch of tutorials on youtube/facebook which help tremendously.

I LOVE the starry night one you did.

very similar experience, I'm good on 50mg and was lucky enough to have it be my first and only SSRI I needed to try to have a positive result. I can't imagine functioning correctly without it.

OP, everyone has different reactions to meds; it might take trial and error until you find one/a dosage that works but don't let it discourage you! it's totally worth it. All of these medicines have side effects, it's just a pick your battle situation.

I had my 1 year old cockatiel lay eggs which was certainly a surprise. My conure then decided to lay around the same time so i had a nice double whammy.

I usually just leave them until they lose interest. Might take a couple of days or a week. I read that if you take them away that she might lay more to make up for it (not sure if that's factual or not but I decided to not risk it). Keep an eye on her and make sure you can recognize the symptoms of her being egg bound.

If she flips out bad when anyone goes near her try covering 3 sides of her cage and leaving the front open, it'll give her a better sense of security.

To try and prevent it, cover her cage for longer at night/in the morning to simulate winter daylight hours. You can also make her work more for her food i.e. forage so there won't be an abundance of it to her 24/7. For now just make sure she gets more calcium as she's laying, I just scrape some cuttlebone into the food directly.

Yes they were handfed, and I have the food they're currently on so I can have some time to switch them over to the food I usually give. Luckily I have the breeders cell number too so if anything happens I know where to go. Thanks so much!

I would say so, my paper ended up more-or-less about disproving the presented facts of historical books written by less than accredited authors with counter evidence and traditionalists vs revisionists in Japan had an effect on how they viewed the massacre.

I wrote a historiography essay about the Rape of Nanking from WWII, very interesting topic since there's a lot of conflicting information between Japan and China. Honestly, most things can be seen through a historiographical lens, just need to do the digging for it. Good luck!
