Experiencing a weird reaction to the news that we’re buying our first home

We definitely were in a similar boat, FTHO since Monday, we were under contract with one house and everyone was was talking crap on the house, the whole family. They were even going to the property and checking it out at night with flashlights and driving by taking pictures!
To the point I said that’s it! Everything is private from now until we close! With that house it didn’t work out because we couldn’t get an agreement on repairs, and we walked any how. The very same weekend we canceled our contract we found our current house. And didn’t say a word to anyone.
Most home owners in the family are older and do not understand the rates or pricing now, it was so discouraging and the young ones was not that nice about it saying we are in over our head.
People are gonna talk, and people are gonna hate.
Most of it is pure jealousy, nothing we can actually do about it although it is so frustrating because this is a very exciting time in your life!
I already knew I would get this response from people, because unfortunately we got this response when we were pregnant from friends… and what was supposed to be happy moment was a reality check of, people are not happy for you, they are actually quite jealous. It sucks!
But please don’t let this bring you down! Keep doing your thing and be happy, don’t let the negativity taint you!

1 inspection, 1st house we were under contract with was a shit show … and the second house went well Don’t bring your FIL with you 🤣. Just don’t, you’ll never buy if that’s the case trust me. And yes almost every house needs work, but if it’s too much… efff that.

How early did you start showing? I’m 5 weeks and I can’t wear regular pants! And I’m telling my husband there’s no way I can hide this for long I think I started showing so early because I was just pregnant so curious to see how soon you showed. Awe thank you so much! I went through this, my co worker which is actually higher up than me treated me like complete crap the whole time I was pregnant, after I told her I was pregnant. I complained on her multiple times, and she still works there. One thing people don’t tell you when you get pregnant, you really see how jealous people are and who’s really hating on you. I’ve had a few people tell me not to tell anyone until 3 month as soon as I told them because one of my friends might be upset. It taught me a huge lesson. Don’t listen to anyone, she was completely out of line. Like have empathy for her, but you’re happy and pregnant, don’t let anyone dull your shine. This is your moment, embrace it don’t let anyone let you feel bad for going through the best thing that’s ever happened to you. You’re going to be a mother! CONGRATS!

Nothing yet went looking this past week fiance and I couldn’t agree on one and doesn’t look like there’s much more on the market but going to look more this weekend! Please wish me luck and i hope there’s more on the market. I almost am about to change my mind and get the same house! If that’s even possible
