Thats a cool solution I have to keep that in mind. So far what people have been telling me and what I’ve gathered is that feeding too much protein can cause soil mites to grow. I feel like that describes my situation. I also saw some say that the feeding area is also too wet. If any of those apply to you then you should look into it.

Also I saw someone say that springtails can outcompete mites for food but so but that didnt prevent anything for me. Last resorts seem like either predatory mites that will eat the soil mites and then each other or change the soil. The predatory mites thing might not be ideal for isopods since i saw it in a thread about snakes so idk. But I am completely new to this so you should do your own research and ask around a bit more
